Graal and Roadrunner

Every time I use Graal on my new Roadrunner modem, it disconnects me after like 10-15 minutes... I am running off a Ethernet network, so its like this:

My computer
|_____Hub_____Cable Modem
|
Computer #2

And i keep getting disconnected by the server... any help?

JeffTL 10-09-2001 09:50 PM

My @Home (another breed of cable modem) works quite well with Graal. Mayhaps you should ask another RoadRunner member for help?

When I lived in Tulsa, I had a cable connection.

I ran 3 computers off of the same connection (using Linksys router).
By the rules of Cox Cable we were supposed to pay 12 bucks for each additional computer, but what they didn't know didn't hurt them ;)

What kind of error do you get when it disconnects you? What server (or does it seem to happen on all servers?), and do you find this happening with other games? Try some other games online (like maybe diablo II, Half-Life or something) and see if it gives you connectivity problems also

And keep an eye on your cable modem's lights! If they start blinking unusually or going dim, there might be problems with your provider (not a problem on your end) if this happens, make sure you call them and they can give you a credit towards your bill.

looking at most of you using cable makes me sad. it seems to me that i'm the only 1 with 56k here :(

Just says "You have been disconnected by the server."

Happens with other games too =(

I went to the tech website, apparently there are problems with compatibility with 3Com modems... and guess what? I have one. Sosad.

doh >_< well good, at least you know it's nothing wrong with your PC, or anything major. You can bring your modem in and get a replacement (I have a Toshiba cable modem, and I have had no problems and I use roadrunner, maybe you can ask for one?)

Thats what I'm planning to do as soon as my Dad gets home, this is serious, we paid for this thing, it should work.

I am on a lame 56k.
