Just posting to say that I think it's pretty cool...
That a year and a half after the server was shut down people still post on UN's in-game forums.
Now if only someone would give me RC so I could fix the spar arena and CTF... lol. Oh well. |
Maybe one day...

I asked Carlito, beginning towards the end of November, for at least 20 minutes on RC to open the Christmas Grotto. In the name of the holiday spirit. Didn't even warrant a reply.
The wheels are oiled, they're about to start spinning again. |
Why do they hate us? :(

All that was done was handing down Manager position to clowns with a history of stupid and childish decisions and suddenly disappearing. There's only a select few to blame there.

Keep the server in your heart!
Trump would have closed your precious server anyways. I miss the free drugs.... just saying |
I plan on writing a letter

Since I never really gave a public reason why the decision came to where it is today, I'll make it clear. After about 50-100 support tickets and about 25 emails regarding UN we decided to investigate the situations that took place on UN. Shortly after we discovered that mostly a Popular guild group has taken over UN. This guild known as BTK would warp players to a torture house, and continuously PK new players or players they disliked with no way to escape (they was trapped after being warped there). This lead to us making UN at home, by constantly being on the server and placing UN on a probation period. Shortly after we got numerous complaints about certain pictures of peoples private parts *cough no names* getting passed around the server (These allegations was true), UNs Ice started to crack at this point. Shortly after that more complaints about severe player harassment by certain individuals we all know. Finally since UN didn't ban them since they was BTK members I banned them. The staff started to relay RC conversations to these banned players and helped them avoid bans. We scripted protections against the players on the game in GScript and within the Engine to detect them So we attempted to resolve this on our end since UN Staff was doing nothing about it. Again shortly after that UN hired back these individuals under a alias to work on some new map, Again the staff disregarded what we warned them about. Severe Harassment and Internet Bullying is a serious thing and you could be criminally prosecuted. Again we found out, and it always led to BTK. The leader of BTK at the time, was friends with these people that was harassing players, so we decided to remove her from management. Then another manager was put into place. Shortly after that manager was put into place he hired this known harasser that was globally and locally banned on MULTIPLE accounts and to get even this person deleted the entire server and 65% of the accounts database. I restored all UNs systems, removed the entire staff team. A well known UN Dev then came to me and said listen man, I would like to run UN. With a group discussion we decided to give this guy a chance (starfire-PH4). He seemed to not have much time for graal although he himself wrote some protections against this individual to keep him off the game. Shortly after getting Management of UnholyNations he stepped down and handed it to someone else. Now Finally after his management, the vicious cycle started all over again. The new management undid all the work we put into UN by clearing it out from these toxic individuals. He unbanned the people we banned and told the people that was banned how to avoid our detection. That's when I had enough, removed the entire staff team, removed it off the list and haven't been back since. |

You're not supposed to hire cliques to manage a server, and you're not supposed to hire coders with a shady past, and ones who always disappear when it's time to get something done. Recycling the same people isn't going to change anything, and that is literally all that was ever done since NeoJenova managed UN, and that was YEARS ago now. You took the position of Global Administrator, and part of that job should be to protect a server that has been around Graal for years. You did try, I'll admit that, but I don't think you tried the right things to avoid this outcome, and I honestly would like to see you give someone else a chance, or perhaps let someone like Ph8 clean some things up on there. Just a very small group of people that have no shady history, a clean record. |
The era of un is long gone, your only option is to get over it...
My friends were always warned to avoid unholynations whenever they accidentally clicked that server because of it's "toxic" community.. There were certainly a few nice players there but they all moved on from UN. UN does not deserve anymore chances from what i've seen. :noob: |

I've been a part of the Graal community for years and can tell you there's toxic people on every server. In fact, some of the more toxic stuff I see is right here on this forum. |
I agree with what Kiri said. The people of UN have always been good honest law-abiding angels. I swear I have never played UN before sometimes. Accidentally clicking on UN is at least not as bad as accidentally going to Africa and getting the Ebola.
I don't know about the recent years of UN, but reading some of the UN threads on here it, seems UN has kept quite a consistent community between 2007-2017? Then it's already very well known like common sense, that UN has leaned towards a "certain" demographic. Maybe... maybe the manager of the UN at that time made an executive decision to put UN into the toilet since he knows it's easy to migrate the players with the UN Ebola onto other servers, since they're the easily amused type? So no harm done? The forum seems empty for a weekend. I don't know if "toxic" stuff is happening if it's empty on a Saturday. For my post, I'm giving myself the title of supreme leader of the toxics, Jave can be my Vladimir Putin. |

as much as I want to idle on a classic server again, denying that un was toxic is the craziest ****
the toxicity was practically part of the pitch like, every server has its own share of it but un reveled in it |
Sup, Graal is a dead game and I've been around longer than all of you. Yawn, moving on.
That being said when Stowen tried the whole "Unholy War" to try to restore UN, Carlito stripped him of the server for absolutely NO reason. Everything was being done by the book and their was nothing "vile" going on. Sooo, don't swallow everything that's spoon fed to you people lol. |

All Carlito had to do was go undercover keeping an eye out for harassment etc. and he would have seen himself that nothing was going on but progress to build the server back with a solid staff team who was behind the project 100% BUT, as soon as he so much got the hint UN was trying to be restored he completely just shut it down without question. There is absolutely NO reason why he should not have given that man a chance regardless of previous failed chances. Stowen was and still is well professional and qualified for the position to hold ownership of UN. |
while stowen was there my buddies were just making a bunch of poop npcs that played copyrighted music so idk man it was pretty much still a lawless wasteland
is stowen the one that had me as a dev admin doing almost nothing for like five months |

just like the other two with childish behavior. It blows my mind that some people are still around here for years that give absolutely nothing to the game or the community, and are only filled with negativity. |

Sounds too similar to a lot of Graal playerworld stories. It always goes along the lines of "something something" for "no reason". Seems like it's always the PWA or upper management that is the "bad guy", for making executive decisions that make no sense or are not fair for the community. And then all the stories say that the ones that seem to get punished are the ones that are going out of their way to work hard for the love of working hard for the love of Graal, or are managing the staff efficiently, or are making all the players happy (with of course player count exaggeration too), and are doing so much good for the server with their level 5 RCs. I never believed these stories, all the stories all sound the same, and then that's not all - the stories keep being brought back up because it seems the "innocent" are always bitter and in so need to defend themselves. Everyone has their own opinion, and I respect everyone's because everyone is contributing, whether negative or positive (my opinions are small, are of my own, and I don't mind if others don't care for them) Like I don't know, what's done is done, right? Opposing the Graal upper management or opposing my Carlita has never worked. Coming to the forums has consistently made things worse (omg but entertaining though! if only the forum rules were more loose). Players think they have always owned Graal, but Graal has always been seen as a business for you know who. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a petition to bring UN's management back, but have the previous Graal petitions ever worked? If this Stowen and his staff and his player followers are such good-doers, then why don't they use their skills + their talents + their experience + their magical Graal development strengths + their professional complaining techniques to make another playerworld better? Or is there still an option on Graal to rent a server with the highest level RC possible, for some small fee? If they're claiming credit for the high player count and player happiness on UN, then shouldn't they be able ton achieve that for another playerworld? (or maybe it's because other playerworlds don't want so many AFK players or players running around with pen** shields) |

I don't care either way, as I said before PC Graal is dead and continuing to decay. I was just shedding light on the subject and voicing my personal opinion about the matter. |

In the end UN is dead, and to never return that decision is final. However you guys may log on the server for some old memories enjoy. |

Yeah, that's a fact, it's back breaking to start up a player world from scratch. Getting a high player count is so "cliche" also, look at all the different playerworlds and different forum threads of players promoting their playerworld. I think the server rental is cheaper than multiplayer license for Unity though... and the engine and everything the old Graal tools are already ready. I think most of the playerworlds are just for personal hobby, for the people that have joy in the development side of Graal, but not expecting any outcomes. I downloaded the client and visited UN (server ID unholy), just because I had the Graal nostalgia and bored :). It feels so sad because UN was my only home too from years ago, and it reminds me so much of my old friends, needed to delete my client. I've never been the type to login to a playerworld and play Graal for itself actually, I only liked the development aspects. |
It's okay I'm back

At the end of the day we all know Graal playerworlds is dead. Just the way it is. I do appreciate you keeping the servers up though. Logging back on to UN or even NPulse just brings back so many memories. I just like to stroll through the map and remember all the levels and good times. Every day is a new opportunity and if there was ever a chance to revive the playerworlds in the future, I'd be glad to help any way I can. If not, we still have the memories.
