This. Not the re-release or the facebook server or iphone... just this in it's charmingly hobbled together greatness.

I'll chip in 100 bucks to get it going.

Sorry Zippy but it's 2016 and you want to bring back 2004?

Yes. 2016 is the new 2004. How does this not make sense?!

Lol

Miss this

Jszuyu 01-19-2016 06:37 PM

I miss all you guys. Hope you're all doing well. Also, if money is what it takes to get Classic back up, I'd gladly match Zip's 100 dollars

I'll give absolutely nothing to be able to play that weird Graal3D preview again

I really want to though

pls

I used to play through all the quests to get as many weapons unlocked as I could. Then I would beg the staff at the time to reset my account so I could do it all over again. I really enjoyed the quest progression.

I would love for Graal2001 to be back up. I still have all the levels from back then somewhere, I just don't have the scripts and those are the money maker. Does Stefan still frequent the forums? Is Stefan still around with the company? I am sure they have a backup and I would gladly pay for the server space for it if he wanted to provide the old server.

I need to look through an old hard drive. I'm pretty sure I backed everything up, but can't confirm. Last I checked about 75% of the server still works great, including the train ironically. Oh, and Stefan doesn't work for Graal anymore. Thor doesn't like it when 2001 is mentioned in the same sentence as Classic, but for me the two servers are like brothers.

Since when?

I could actually tell you a thing or two about what's going on with 2001. (classification permitting lol)

I would like to know and even possibly help. Hell I worked on the server making levels when it was popular.

Bastard. I think maybe in 2009 or whenever I was working with you, you got really upset with me anytime I mentioned the possibility of me also wanting to work on Graal2001. You told me I wasn't allowed to work on both projects, which never made sense to me considering the lack of any sort of real consequence for such a thing besides perhaps the world being a better place.

I believe you're mistaking me for someone else.

Why would I make that up? It was an incredibly frustrating thing for me to deal with at the time because I was so conflicted between priorities. I just wanted to help Graal suck less, and Rufus had control of Graal2001 making it absolutely impossible to lobby for anything to get done. That's the whole reason I decided to help Classic, because I see it as being just as important and good as Graal2001.

Crono 01-28-2016 04:04 PM

If we try hard enough we can pretend iClassic is G2k1.

Well I certainly don't recall being upset about that prospect or demanding that Classic developers not work on another server. Regardless, that was 6 years ago and wouldn't have made any difference in the grand scheme of things.

Kamaeru 01-28-2016 04:09 PM

Yeah, I'm not really that concerned about it and it was a long time ago. I'm glad you've changed your position on that kind of thing, even if you don't ever remember having a contradictory position before.
