Whatever happened & Gang idea.
 

To the command :idea? That was one of the best things i seen implemented onto era for a while. It give you an insight of what players really wanted. Why remove it?

Besides that... I want to talk about the #1 idea on it that I've also been talking about for a while now that we need. If you know what "scrims" is then you know exactly what I am about to say without having to read on.

We have gang events but why not make them automated for gangs throughout the week to use and play as a practice/something fun to do. Basically a gui will pop up and you select who's playing or an option to ready up yourself so it doesn't start with people being AFK. It will play the event and kick you once it's over, have a queue of some-sort for the next lot of people who want to play it etc. This would be a massive update and people would love it.

This allows gang players who doesn't really get the chance to play gang events and it also allows players to get better together as a team for the upcoming gang events etc and the most important thing of all, it's entertaining.

So what about it?

Never liked this command, it gets spammed with nonsense or multiples of the same idea (I recall there being one idea about events with like 16 points.. then the exact same idea without a capital letter being -2). Beyond that any player voting system can be easily manipulated by groups/players with multiple accounts.. this beyond the fact 80% of the server is retarded.

I've liked this one particular idea for a while though. Seems like it would just be easiest to challenge a gang-leader then ask blackfires/seth/me/exolia/someone else willing to host it for you.

There's 2 administrators literally assigned to these things (gangs & events), make them work!

A whole system for that kind of thing doesn't seem realistic right now though (most of our scripters are on assignments, busy, or generally inactive) and judging by the current event bot (most people don't know it exists), it's not worth that amount of work.

Let it be spammed.. It's in order from most voted to lowest so it doesn't really matter. And no, it wouldn't be easier just to ask staff to host them. It would be easier to make a system to host it for you.

If this system was in place, it would be the most used one on era. I guarantee you that now, if that's not worth that amount of work then what is?

Is there a time limit before something shows up on the /idea , I submitted an idea but couldn't find it on the list. (My idea was to add a -delete all- option to the mailbox system.)

Also wasn't there a second eventbot type thing where players could activate it then it has players vote on which event is to be hosted?
