community names with less than 5 characters

why is it not possible to register community names with less than 5 characters?

i dont think having 3 or 4 characters can be causing any problems as there are plenty of people who have had their account names changed to names less than 5 characters

my wife Jun-Jun has subscribed for her account but is unable to set its community name to her desired nickname of 'Hope'

please can this be fixed!

is it giving you an error specifically saying that it is too few characters?

a name like Hope might already be taken.

yes it gave me the error of there being too few characters, but i also did check to see whether 'Hope' exists and try other names just incase

If she is your online wife, I'd suggest that she makes her account name "hopeless".

i noticed that if you let an accounts active gold subscription expire without setting a community name then you no longer have the ability to set the community name afterwards. is this intentional?

from what i remember having a community name is checked by some servers to determine whether an account has upgraded at least once, but in this event it would be incorrect, plus i think these forums need a community name to accept a new registration

oh and maximus me and my wife share true love for eachother, here you can see a sticker attached to one of my monitors at work with her nickname on it:
