Was Zoom Factor Fixed?

So I was messing around with the player.zoomfactor today and I realized that it didn't show that ugly grid that appears on the tiles when the zoomfactor > 1.

Is it just my computer that doesn't display the grid? Or was the problem fixed and no matter what device, it doesn't show the grid?
