Dev/Gmap Question

so i have 3. 50x50 gmaps and 1 500x500 gmap is there a certain point i cant have anymore gmaps im need about 3 more would it be available at 3 more or no they would be another 50x50's

There is no way you're going to ever fill a 500x500 GMAP. I highly doubt the client (or server) would even load that. That's 250,000 levels. Even a 50x50 is 2,500 levels which is probably too many to load, let alone to complete.

just logged on there and checked the gmap file. their map is 40x40 and not 500x500. you will never fill that up, barely even a 50x50 map. the map from zodiac is already 30x29.

Kingdoms main map is 40x40, and it's huge. It might still not be enough if you want to add exploration or so, but it can be better to make several smaller connected gmaps instead of one 500x500.

The idea of 250,000 levels to develop tickles my impatience. And I'm not even involved in said project!

250,000 leves sounds not so hard, considering that most of it is water or forest or whatever that is quickly to be made... or deserts w/e, they just require minimal edits

i can imagine that i have the patience to lat something like this, but it would have to be planned out really thoughoutly...

i compare such big things with my pixelart, the 2 biggest pixelarts i ever made had

614 000 pixels
and my current has 400 000

That's 250,000 levels; a level is more like a canvas itself. If you want to compare it to pixel art, you need to imagine that you're going to manipulate the tiles within the level. There are 4096 tiles per level, so that would be comparable to a pixel art canvas of 32000x32000, or 1,024,000,000(250,000*4096) pixels.

You don't even have the dedication to stick to a single project long enough.

I wasn't ever saying I do. I acknowledge that I usually don't.
