RC doesn't open?
 

I can't open the non client RC for some reason considering it just loads for a few seconds and nothing actually opens but I have noticed that the process starts and then closes itself after a few seconds. Any help would be appreciated, and I've already tried running in compatibility mode and with administrator as well. I'm running Windows 7 Premium 64-bit.

Try putting the RemoteControl2.exe in a different folder.

Didn't work.

Try renaming it.

Is there anything in the system log (assuming Windows has one)?

There's the event log, but I highly doubt there'd be anything in it about this.

Yeah I didn't find anything in it, I looked earlier today. The program doesn't even open when I have task manager on, its just the process that starts and ends.

On one of my older computers (Windows XP), opening remotecontrol2.exe will open the little log-in GUI. Then logging in and bringing up the server list won't actually load anything in the list, but it spikes the CPU to 100% and the mem usage just climbs until everything crashes or I manage to kill the process.

Never was able to find a solution =(

Copy paste your current control2config (so you have a backup) and delete control2config.txt. See if that does anything. :o

The file isn't even in my Graal folder, that's most likely why it doesn't work.

Check in Program files/Graal and see if one exists there. The first time I loaded graal onto my windows7/64 bit thats where it put it. Had to move it manually

Know what, that might be. It usually creates one, but obviously can't under Vista/7 if it's in the program files folder and doesn't have admin rights. Tried running it as admin?

Tried that, after attempting several options we've come to the conclusion that it seems some program on his computer itself is killing it once it tries to start since it does show up in the task manager momentarily. Oddly enough it shows 2 instances of it but then so does mine so obviously that isn't the problem within itself.
