Regarding SQL

Is it possible to connect to an external SQL database in GS2?
I ask this because I am thinking of making a chat app which you can chat with players on graal and also from a web site.

Why would you connect to an external database if you were making a chat app? Write an API instead and talk to it with TSocket, curl, or requestURL.

Wait, there's an internal one for the server? Did not know. Thought it had to be external.

I'd still like to see this answered.

It would be nice to store backups of tables in an external database if possible.
