Who I speak to about server rental/graal licensing?
I've messaged Unixmad and Stefan. Do I go straight for the cyberjoueur's contact page?
|
It can take some time for a response, they're both quite busy.
|
Thanks Tig! It's been a while, hope you're doing well. Appreciate the fast response.
|
Use the contacts on the Eurocenter homepage. I noticed that it takes way longer via graalonline.com..

I don't mind having to wait 1, 2, 3, 4 weeks etc as I understand they're busy and PC Graal is a low priority, but when you repeatably get no response whatsoever over a period of months that's ridiculous.

I didn't mean to start a crusade, just would like a response.

Still nothing. Probably won't ever get a reply either. |
I emailed Stefan once and he responded.

It's not really fair to expect them to respond. If you look at most games when do you ever talk to the developers/creators/etc? You usually speak with trained customer service/tech support people who either relay the message to the developers or can fix the problem themselves. The reason developers aren't the ones who speak with the user (it would be more efficient if they did) is because they don't have the time to balance responding to players and working on the game. In the case of the Graal management, we have none of these tech support people so now Stefan has to balance his time between developing and responding, and who can blame him if he chooses to put more time into developing. So I think it would be wise if they hired at least one person who could communicate with the players interms of issues, updates, etc. They need a person to have the identity of someone who can help, more so the face of a brand.

Maybe we should all compare emails, establish some graphs and figure out why some emails get ignored or replied to.

http://i.imgur.com/eI3SR.png This graph shows how since the beginning of Graal, e-mails worth the time it'd take to respond to them (almost exponentially) dropped. Unfortunately, with any structure, sometimes legitimate entities are ignored as they're outnumbered by entities worth ignoring. Basically, what other people are saying is true: You can't expect a response when you come to the realisation that they get a LOT of e-mails every day from kids wanting free handouts, complaining about topics best suited for the forums in the first place, asking for help with scripting and various other requests that aren't necessary to ask of the game's developer and business admin. |
except i emailed him last year and he responded!

They'll respond if they can. If there are any questions I can help you with, please email [email protected] or [email protected].
