Yep, I think that we should put a lockers contents put up for auction whenever the time run outs and they don't pay.

For example, lets say that a locker runs out of time with 20 items inside.

When the items go up for auction it won't show what items are up for auction, instead just shows the amount of items up for auction.

If this idea was ever put into place, I would honestly just buy lockers and stuff them with a decent amount of worthless stuff so people would get their hopes up...

I actually don't see why this is a bad idea, aside from the show association. It'd be a good money sink if they have anything good it in, which would otherwise 1) disappear 2) be sold for the price of the storage itself.

I'm with Dusty, it is a pretty good idea but it is a change to the server so you guys would never support it.

It's not a good idea. Most lockers are empty upon expiration. Maybe 1 locker every few months has something left in them (of any value). Furthermore, players can already purchase abandoned lockers and receive whats inside.

You would know that if instead of bashing us stubborn folk and took a minute to ask how they already work.

What if the items were auctioned, but you COULD see what was in them? and if nobody bought or bid, the items would just be trashed. That would cut down on clutter in the server.


To be honest I like the system how it is now, but this is another alternative if someone is hellbent on changing it.

the locker owner wouldn't get the profits and the other players doing the bidding would be taking a risk.

I guess you could include some sort of incentive IE random chance for a semi valuable item to draw people. It would be hosted like an event anyways so why not give a prize?

This is how it would work:

1. Locker runs out of time
2. If the locker is empty when it expires it just sells itself, if not, then it puts up its contents at the auction house.
3. Once the items are at the auction house it makes an announcement similar to an event, except when you click 'Join Event' it teleports you to the auction house.
4. Once at the auction house, the bidding will last 25 minutes and will show the text: 'Expired locker item count: X' X being the number of items inside the locker when it expired.
5. Once the auction is over it gives the items to the winning bidder and waits till the next locker.

Notes:
-The former owner of the locker does not receive the money.
-If nobody bid on the items, they get deleted off the server (less clutter)

Yeah because I'm going to buy a locker, and then instead of using it, I'm going to put 20 flowers inside it and then wait 168 hours for it to expire and give my locker away for free just so that the next guy who buys it might have to pay a little bit more than I did for it.
Suddenly everybody on the server is going to start doing this with their lockers.
