Are we in need of new ETs?
 

An ET who claims to see what goes in the background says that ETs don't like hosting gang events and will make up an excuse or log off to prevent from hosting them.

Can any vouch for this kind of unproductivity? If so, what's exactly causing it? The complications of hosting the event or the staff being just lazy?

You need special rights to host gang events, which they don't like to hand out to any ET. Though yeah, It's never fun to host gang events. They're always mad at you for anything you do when they lose.. And since 3 of the 4 teams lose.. Yeah, got it?

I wouldn't do it either. But hey, we have two gang admins. Gangs.. Gang events.. Jup.

I'd do it, and i'd tell them "You lost, get over it son". Everyone can't win! :D

Second, Name is mostly right with everything he said. Only certain people have the capability to host gang events. Currently they are GeorgeC and Zach.
To be clear, most high ranking admins are capable, but the responsibility falls on Zach and George because of the things I list below

Both of them do this at least once a week, to the best of my knowledge. I know zach has, on occasion, done it twice per week. They're good peeps.


Furthermore, it is a quintessential ****storm every time they have to be hosted. There is chaos trying to organize a bunch of children (im not trying to dog on players, but..I'm right. When gangs get together, IQ goes down 50 or 60 points) to play an event.

People will not agree on what to play. People will argue over who is lagging and who is not. People will argue over who the mvp is, even though there is a clear system in place to decide whom. If they manage to realize that, then they will argue that your system is flawed.




Gang events suck, in a nutshell, because players make them suck. However, Zach and George both do them anyways. So go away with your thoughts of needing new ETs.
