ill start saying that i hate raffles cuz it awards random ppl (allowing stupid ppl to win), but w.e, who cares
the important thing is that alf hosted a raffle deciding that u had to have over 250hrs to win prizes, but he was letting trials win prizes..now how stupid is that????? trials don't pay so shouldn't win, obviously. but more importantly, why should sum1 be penalised just because he started playing recently?
id also like to point out that smu_na_zimx was awarded a prize even though he had 4hrs, just because alf said he knew that this guy had other accounts (must be a friend of his who he broke the rules for). don't delete this post like u normally do when sum1 criticises u or i'll have to send a global ticket :)

Why cry over the stupid stuff.
1. I'm a trial and I've payed WAY more for this game than you.. (2 $90 packs, masa bought me a $24 pack, and helped other people buy dev servers)
2. 250 hours ensures players actually play the game, and attempt to work or gain their own fortune.. you don't want some guy with 4 hours who just logged on for the first time to get the wrong interpretation of the server (ie. I don't have to work for stuff).
3. No one is penalized, they are simply not given a luxury. Just because your car doesn't come with seat covers when you first get it, and the one I've owned for 250 days has sexy red/black seat covers means nothing. (I just got new seat covers, ballin')
4. If he knows someone personally that has played in the past that is his own business.
5. Ya, *holds gun to head*, don't close my thread! :noob: Threats never work.

If you're going to enforce a rule, enforce it right. Don't make exceptions, for whatever reason, unless you specifically state you're going to beforehand (what TK posted makes it look like this didn't happen)

I'm fine with trials winning raffles, that's all well and good. More players and whatnot.

Dooood I just got red and black seat covers in my camari :D they baller as hell. Destroying environments with v8's, ftw.

I agree with a hour limit as people could just hop on multiple accounts. And maybe he does know the Smu guy. I didn't look at the hours of his other account, but he does have another account that I've seen many times.

The reason for the hour restriction is pretty much because of people like Rogue. He's a trial but he's obviously been a part of the community for a very long time and isn't new. The reason why certain players were exempt of the hour-minimum rule was because they recently obtained a new account or simply could not access their old one and were forced to create a new one. After I confirmed the fact that they all had past accounts and were in fact not new to Era, I allowed them to take part in the raffle.

I do allow new players to part in raffles but not every raffle (the ones for high-priced items to be specific). The reason being is that well, they're new, they know nothing about Era and giving them a high-priced item right away makes them see no purpose of playing. That's the way I see it at least, but also they do have a high chance of being ripped off for the item. Why give them joy to only have another player take it away from them? :(

Also, I never delete threads when someone criticizes me, I don't really care about that. I only close/delete pointless threads. Feel free to send in a complaint to Playerworld Administrators over me closing threads though. [email protected]
