Hello, all.
I recently discovered that GraalOnline has been placing markers on different parts of my computer and perhaps many others.
In short, these markers (not sure exactly what they are) are placed on the core portions of your device. From this, your device can be traced and/or tracked as to location and etc.

To be quite frank, I find this inappropriate and am clueless as to the purpose of such a function.
As of yet, the only server that uses it (to my knowledge) is Era.

Again, unlike any other aspect of web identification. I'm told these tracers cannot be "shaken" off by any means unless an internal change to your device.

In totality, I question why is GraalOnline tracking players to such an extent? This obviously is a direct invasion to an individual's privacy, seeing as they can be directly tracked by this function.

Furthermore, I've discovered that the GraalOnline staff team do not undergo any kind of "screening" process, so granting them such an ability is absolutely unacceptable and makes me quite abit uncomfortable.

I, for one, feel violated and so should you... can someone in the higher administrative body see to either the containment of this function to screened high officials only or its immediate removal? Thank you.

Oddly enough:
* Scripts should only identify players uniquely via their account name, nickname or community name. Any other attempt to track a player such as through their IP address, PCID or by planting corrupt files in their system could constitute a criminal offence. Servers are strictly forbidden from using any sort of method to store or retrieve the player's IP address or PCID with script.

I glossed over everything until just now, and then discovered ol' Wil was spazzin' out on his Writers Inc book, started lolling irl hysterically. Got a feeling someone's mad.

This thread should probably be addressed and closed soon before we all turn into preschoolers hating on the poor kid.

I fail to see the point in making a thread in the main Graal section and the Era section of the forums about the same thing.
