Can you please make it so the person who bids the most wins cause I have tons of money and I want to be able to SPEND IT!

We only allow you to bid $100 more than the current bid- not any higher. =[

That seems reasonable to me. Just means you can't bid huge then not bother to stick around for the auction since you're pretty much guaranteed a win. That would take the fun out of the whole auction experience.

But obviously, if you had the most money there and you are going to spend all of it on that item, you will still win, but you have to stick around and keep biding $100? Good idea. I like it and I get it now too <3 I love you andy yes I do, I love you andy, how about you?

Personally, I agree with the original poster. The way you have things set up is NOT how auctions work in real life, or anywhere else outside your auction house.

If i want a gun, and would have been willing to bid 200k on it, i'd be pretty angry when someone else got it for 150k because you're limiting the speed at which the auction can grow.

I understand standard auction procedures have their own problems, but this doesn't seem any better to me.

You can still bet alot, just wait till it gets to your price range. The bidding has a timer, every 4 minutes it's announced of the time remaining.

Is the time left extended if someone bids? If it doesn't then that should probably be fixed.

Nope it's a set time. I could do it this way... but then I think players will be paying like 100k+ for an item. I suppose it's their choice though...

I hate fixed time limits...just means that last second bid crap. I say last bid in 3 minutes extends it an extra 3 minutes

Surely 1 minute is sufficient...

Auctions should be rare or quite rare occasions, since the aren't happening every day. They should last for quite a while so players can have fun as well as get the item they want. They should also be able to choose via a poll what item they think should be up next for auction. Something like the "/evote" system on Era.
