For whoever runs these boards: This post describes how the event tournaments are going to be run each month. I will probably also be posting a schedule each month, on the first of that month as well. If this will be a problem, let me know.


Also if this could be stickied, that would be pretty swell.


Players: As of july 15, Special event tournaments will be hosted each friday and saturday of every week. Fridays will be gang events, and saturday will be normal events.

This is, as always, a lengthy post

This is supposed to be a huge thing. As such, I will be training multiple ETs to run these. There'll be signups and things too, and..other..official stuff..

The list breaks down as follows:

~~~~~Gang Events~~~~~

Week 1: The top 5 gangs will get a chance to show their elite prowess by competing in normal gang events against each other (gang spar, KOTH, CTF, TDM). Rewards will be MVP Coins, EC, possibly statues for the week or some other form of recognition if i can get permission to do so.

Week 2:The top 10 gangs will get a chance to hash it out, in slightly shorter gang events. Prizes will be less than week 1, but there will be more events overall, to even things out.

Week 3: Buy-ins. Any gang may participate, as long as they signup with a 25k fee. There is no limit to the number of gangs that may play -- I don't care if all (31 i think is the number now?) gangs join, as long as they pay the fee.

Week 4:(unless someone comes up with a better idea) Random selection: Gangs will be randomly selected using either a script, or (because i distrust scripts) a simple random number generator. These gangs will be given more than a weeks worth of notice, so that they may prepare


Additional Rules, stipulations, & information:
-There will be a set time for these, to be determined in the next day or two.
-There will also be a minimum requirement for gang members(Teams WILL be even in all events, and i'm thinking at least 3 members sounds fair. Any less online, and your gang does not play)
-We will reserve the right to disqualify you from participating at any time, for any reason.
-If you sign up for the buy-in week, and then don't show up, NOBODY IS GOING TO REFUND YOU. Consider it like skipping college classes -- they don't pay you back because you're not there. They just smile and laugh. That'll be us c:

New rules may be added as needed, these are subject to change without notice. If notice is needed, i suggest you just come read this every day.

~~~~~Normal Events~~~~~

Week 1: PK events. This will be a straight up run of the bloodiest, most intense events on Era. Back to back spars, CTFs, and all other PK events are fair game. Prizes will include more ECs than usual, Possssssibly MVP coins (gotta talk to alferton), and other stuff that will be announced beforehand.

Week 2: Non-PK events. A huge conglomeration of Races, chances, Trivia, and any other non-pk event can be found on this day. This will be the tournament where we try to set the guns down, and give alllll the newbies their time to shine.
Prizes will include more EC then usual, possibly money if I or others can provide, and random things. no MVPs, don't ask.

Week 3: Ironman tournament. This is the big one, for all the bragging rights. The monthly tournament to determine Era's IRON MAN. Prizes will be EC, MVPs, a statue at unstick, and possibly more.

Week 4: Staff VS Players: This is your chance, as players, to beat the crap out of the current administration, whether it be with your guns, your skills, or your mind (all team events will be considered for this day, and I'm considering turning some normal events, such as trivia, to having a team option enabled just for this). Rewards will include ECs & other items, as well as the possible satisfaction of knowing that you're better at something than era's finest.

your gang event idea is retarded, it should be the top 4 gangs each week every week. **** 25k entry fee... hire a gba that knows what he's doing so this **** doesn't happen.

Well its obvious the same gangs would compete each week because the top 4 gangs are thousands ahead, maybe make the points reset each week but still have and overall gang chart were those points can be added up

If Alfonso ever gets to it (lol), points are supposed to have a weekly leader board that resets each week, so that's a given.

No one is going to pay 25,000$ to play a gang event. Furthermore, this concept is reinstating the problem of giving special privileges to wealthy players/gangs rather than allowing everyone equal opportunity.

Honestly, the payment concept is self-destructive without even going into to deep analysis.
This system is to promote competition and involvement in Gang PK. o.O? Gang Events are to be "rewarding". Why should players pay 25,000 for a reward? Odd.

if nobody pays, nobody plays. If nobody plays, the system will be changed. Going to try it at least once, however.

I assume HP will be scaled during gang events, as such in ranked spars. And yes, I do feel it necessary to reiterate this over and over.
