Kingdoms Idea

Anyways; my idea was simply this. Once you are in a kingdom; your kingdom's icon would automatically be embroidered on the back of your cape (cloak)

This would also help visually identifying members (not everyone in a kingdom is level 110 and is willing to have a icon float of their heads for oldbies to lame them to death while they are leveling or blessing)

I figured this would also force some patriotism into the kingdoms :)

Seeing as kingdom shields are rarely evented off; or if they are evented off the members who won the shield have absolutely no kingdom pride or respect for their kingdom and sell them off to non kingdom members. -_-

My issue would be if you are bmode, are we gonna have 2 big icons for our Kingdoms? A choice of the floating icon or cape icon would be awesome in that situation, rather than me having an icon on my back and ontop of me. An option to have one's icon on their back in the first place (regardless of bmode) would also be appropriate.

But of course :) a simple toggle command could be added like
/toggle kcape to have it on the cape
/toggle khead to have it over the head

That actually might be cool. Like the guild tabards on World of Warcraft.

Well, problem is that for 10 cloaks, we have 4 kingdoms, which means for only 10 cloaks, there would need to be an additional 40 more with each kingdoms icon on them. This is a total of 50 cloak graphics, up from 10.

It's just not worth the time in my opinion.

Release a single kingdom cloak depending on the kingdom.

A blue one with the shell on it.
A red one with the kabuto on it.
A black one with the skull and bones on it.
A red/gold one with the sword on it.

I actually like Bigbears idea better;

though i would amend it a bit

Instead of them being kingdom items that non loyal members could sell because they suck at representing their kingdom and deserve a firm back handing across the face for selling kingdom items..... they should be applicable skins to your current cloak.

Which for Tig, would be a lot easier to do id imagine...

Cool idea. I support it.

Reminds me of Guild Wars. In that game you eventually make or join a Guild, and they have a custom created cloak that you can toggle on and off.

Sort of what i was basing my idea off of :D

I like the skin idea, would be cool if you could create skins for all armors and pick your look no matter what you are wearing.
