Gmap Errors

Found some annoying errors on the main gmap, they are very simple fixes... and ya... Also please don't state the usual messages of:
"Won't be done" "staff don't care" "so what" "other things need to be done" etc. etc.

If you find gmap errors just dump in here and hope that someone at some time fixes them up. Screen shots should be included with the level name. (Unless its a obvious level that can easily be identified by your screen shot)

lol it isn't really LAT work because they are mostly terrain errors and could be fixed in a few minutes but as Kale said it doesn't change gameplay.

Well, I think someone should try to fix it :P

and I know, but it sorta makes the server look less professional (not by much though, lol)

Memitim 05-01-2011 02:01 AM

Sooo what you and Kale are suggesting is that its better to have a game that looks messy and unprofessional? no wonder people dont wana buy gold ^-^

It is LAT work, it can be buffed out in Graal Editor in a couple of seconds...

It's not that hard or complex to do... just requires someone to dedicate all 10 minutes to:
Down load levels, pop in editor, fix errors, save em, reupload em.

Such complex and confusing tasks zomg....

There are a lot of things that don't effect gameplay, ignoring them totally shows signs of commitment and quality... sure.

You're forgetting the subforum we're in, Dusty.

100% agree it should be fixed, but it's not high on the list.

Ya, there is a such thing as prioritization. Dismissing minor things != prioritizing, it means you're dismissing minor things.

Also, the stupid friggin' idea that people have all the time around here where
BIG THINGS GET DONE FIRST -> MEDIUM THINGS GET DONE NEXT -> SMALL THINGS GET DONE LAST is... well, it's friggin' stupid. That's not how development works, and people should stop thinking that because something is minor it shouldn't be fixed first. It's a lot easier to spend a few minutes fixing some minor tile errors than it is to create whole new content, and you know what? It doesn't delay anything! As surprising as it may seem, one LAT going and fixing a few tile errors in a few minutes is not going to set the development on the whole server back a month.

Just sayin'.

I don't think Graal Kingdoms has a single LAT. Besides Katie, who's basically just a helper.

Honestly it doesn't exactly take an LAT to fix some very minor tile errors.

Katie is actually in charge of our levels on Graal Kingdoms for future releases. She is in charge of future content and creating new levels for GK and GK iPhone, but isn't assigned to fixing small errors on the overworld. She is what you might call a LAT Admin, however, as Dusty pointed out, it doesn't take a LAT to fix these errors. I'll see about getting them fixed soon but they're pretty low priority.
