Website Notifications (Not Email)

Assuming it is possible, and not already implemented (I haven't seen any option or it happening), I believe that there should be an option to have a notification sent to your inbox when someone messages after you have posted on a subscribed thread. Or as I have stated in another thread, a possibility that it is shown on the non-occupied top right corner of the browser as well as friend invites and new messages. "I do not like or dislike the message popups for mail"

I only think it would be useful to keep track of threads you have posted on, with the option to turn it off later.

Ex.
You post on or create a thread.
You subscribe to the thread without emails.
Someone posts on the thread.
Notification shows someone has replied to thread "Stuffs"
End of notifications until you reply once again to the thread, or have turned it off.

My email is cluttered enough as it is, I wouldn't want emails put on, but I do check the forum a lot..

^^ Thank you, however I stated in my first post that I do not want any emails.
Again, I think it would be much better being on the main page on the unused space.

But if I am the only one that thinks it would be quicker, and more efficient.. then never mind. :]

Stefan is not going to waste his time hacking vBulletin so you don't have to use the User CP. There's probably an extension that does something like what you want, anyway—try looking for it?

^.^, As I said, if it was possible, and others wanted it sure, if not I can do without it.
I only believe it might be helpful to a lot of people. But it sounds like it isn't going to be simple.

And there are much better things that stefan could be spending his time on.

Another reason i think we need a forums admin that has development abilities to improve on these forums we use, almost daily. Not to offend Darlene at all of course.

I'm not trying to be rude, but I don't recall seeing a priority limit of future improvements. D:

As stated before, in the future, I believe this would be very efficient if possible.
It doesn't even have to be Stefan who does it.

I'd only think more people would rather be on any page and click once to get to the notifications rather then clicking a few times to get to certain spots. Efficient but not at all mandatory... ^^

No, no, I think this is a good idea.

But there is (unfortunately) a priority limit of future improvements.

Haha it's alright, a lot of suggestions in this subject probably won't happen, which is understandable. ^.^; but it is always good to try to help!

We can only hope!
