Era Playerbase (Preparation)

Hello, everyone.

The current playerbase of Era looks steady and positive, for the most part.
However, this post is to pose the question of, how will this be impacted by the Facebook release in the coming weeks?

Era's Primary activity is player-killing.
The player's primary complaint is that there is not enough of it.
If there as an alternative in which they can get the positive minus the negative, would they not jump on that opportunity?

Therefore, I pose the question.
What can be done to maintain this playercount or perhaps increase it upon the facebook release?

-Create party battle system
-Have the Eventbot running full time when et's aren't hosting
-Balance gangs and create a gang battle system

those are some ideas off the top of my head

Fill the world with killable NPCs and Cops that police you.

as soon as facebook era will come out ull all realise it's quality is poor :)

Make graal FREE!
(Don't troll, I know it cost money to play, because he wouldn't host it if he made no money.)

Mhh, I agree with Zeus. The parties have no competition whatsoever which is why they go after gangs, then gangs get angry and blame the parties for ruining their fun.

raid era mafia, get some kills, then join a gang
there's no reason why perople without a gang tag are allowed in gang bases but unfortunately they still are...

Why would I do that when the leaders don't care one bit.

Agreed. Gangs are ridiculous bad (not the players), and not even funny to be in one. Party is the way to have fun on Era, seriously. All you care about is the MVP points or ECs, not about the raids or having fun. !pissed!

Facebook Era could:

1. Cause PC Era to be deleted and replaced on the list.
2. Cause PC Era to be renamed.

Will most likely be left alone though and some fragmentation issues will occur.

That's absolutely absurd, TK. If gangs had a hundredth of the respect that parties have for their members, then I would agree with this, but gang leaders don't create an atmosphere in which there is a respect between the members and the leadership. Until that respect exists, I think that parties should be a much higher priority for staff, because no matter how much we do to improve gangs, the leaders don't know how to handle themselves.

Mhh.. I agree.

lol who cares about love in gangs??? the important thing is winning, and imo there r too many noobs in gangs now (since LC relies on quantity rather than quality)

Respect is not necessarily love. The problem isn't that there are too many noobs in gangs. The problem is that the good members of gangs have no respect for the leaders and are accepted into any gang regardless of anything else.

Andre2006 04-04-2011 11:41 PM

Not to mention those people that think they are the best of best, they just keep looking down on us innocent men who do our best, they throw us around like we are chopsticks!

There should be a sense of respect. Every player should have to try-out, and should start at a basic rank... people shouldn't just be automatically added with all rights because they have a Mp5 or significant skill. They should have to known and listen to the leaders, not just run around hopping on cookies and elixirs, rushing loaded rooms. That is the empitone of a 'Gang'.

(Maybe they need quantity because they aren't stacked with 100% mp5ed out oldbies)?
Last I checked if you were quality, you wouldn't complain about the opponents quantity. Go watch 300.

you're talking about LC
in BH i remove anyone who disrespects me and so do other commanders
the difference is that BH is a selection of good pkers whilst LC adds anyone they can to get high numbers, which ovbiously turns out to be a fail

/facepalm

Removing someone that disrespects you doesn't mean that there's any feeling of respect within the gang.

bloodykiller 04-06-2011 05:03 AM

yea they have to respect or get removed, which is right cuz u've always had to take **** from recruiters on era and if u say it's not so then u obviously havnt played very long

Andre2006 04-06-2011 12:10 PM

I don't see how I should respect someone above me if he/she does not even respect her/his subordinates or anyone else for that matter. I wouldn't want to stand under someone who isn't a good person.

Taking **** from recruiters builds respect better than letting anyone with a BAR into your gang and saying, "don't have negative points or you're kicked." There needs to be some process, that's not abusive, but that builds a relationship between a recruiter/leader. It's not like this is impossible, you know, this is how gangs used to work.

DirtySk8erballs 04-06-2011 09:42 PM

Every gang needs that one assh0le recruiter that removes anybody out of line and holds that as the stigma. I've never felt gang rights needed to be held short handed...its about maturity, and of course skill.

bloodykiller 04-06-2011 10:44 PM

imo if the gang wins it's fine lol, ppl may play era to make friends but idc rly

bloodykiller 04-06-2011 11:53 PM

ahaha ok
anyways i agree with rogue that there r 2 many gang hoppers
today i was asked by u guy to be made recruiter although he joined 2days ago and has 0gang points
