Seriously crop the error and use a jpg next time.

Try installing the GTK+ Runtimes: http://sourceforge.net/projects/gtk-win/
Try re-installing RemoteControl2 in the Login server menu.

Razel89 03-09-2011 11:53 PM

yeah sorry for the big pic but i was in a hurry and didn´t pay attention to the size =/ won´t happen next time :D

Razel89 03-10-2011 12:01 AM

All drivers installed and updated?

Does your Client-RC work?

Razel89 03-10-2011 12:45 AM

everything is updated and the client rc works.

fowlplay4 03-10-2011 01:42 AM

Shot in the dark... Try setting your Locale information to English (United States).

Do you have RC on other servers? If you don't try to get access to Testbed, and see if it works there.

Try restarting your server via client-rc. Command: /global servercontrol restart

NicoX 03-10-2011 02:10 AM

He is trying to log on Esteria. So he cant just restart the Server.
Well we can see on the RC that Razel is logging in and such, but for him its just frozen all the time.
Dont know why. Couldnt help him. He says Client RC works fine. Very strange.

cbk1994 03-10-2011 02:14 AM

How does it crash? Are there any error messages?

NicoX 03-10-2011 02:22 AM

It just freezes.....Thats all I believe.

fowlplay4 03-10-2011 02:40 AM

It looks like you have some custom theming programs that might be interfering try disabling them.

Try running RC in Safe Mode with Networking, if that works it's most likely a program causing the issue.

Just a shot in the dark but have someone make sure you're folder rights aren't set to wildcards ( ****). This slowed my rc to a crawl so it appeared I was frozen.

NicoX 03-10-2011 02:48 AM

Well he has the normal folder rights like every other Staff has too. Works fine for everybody...

FrozenLies0 03-10-2011 06:23 AM

hmmm my rc used to do that when i first got a new laptop
(not sure if yours is new, doubt it)
but what i did was i right clicked RC (the shortcut)
and went into preferences
i had to go through and find a different compatibility that would let it work

edit: also after i found one that worked i basically just switched it back off of whatever compatibility i put it for
(odd i know)
but that's what i did

My RC did that when I first got staff on Era. It fixed itself when I left the frozen RC on over night. Then when I checked on it in the morning it was working.. Not really sure why it did that though.

papajchris 03-10-2011 08:39 AM

Same thing happened to me when i got a new laptop with windows 7. When i opened RC it would freeze and then i'd have to open another RC while it's still frozen to kick me off the first one and get things working

nullify 03-10-2011 01:44 PM

Perhaps we could use a new RC build?!

Razel89 03-10-2011 02:07 PM

I have no custom theme programs only Display Fusion to manage 2 monitors nothing else. i´m at work right now but when i get home i´ll try to set compatibility maybe it will work then. i´ll let you know what happened =D

I agree.
STEFAN GO FOR IT !!! :D

MrOmega 03-10-2011 04:03 PM

Stefan wants to just focus on client-RC

nullify 03-10-2011 04:17 PM

Which is an obvious mistake.
If he was so set on using it, he wouldn't have his own build of the external client.

MrOmega 03-10-2011 05:37 PM

sadly true, I find the external one much easier to use,

callimuc 03-10-2011 08:08 PM

Well I have the exact same problem. On one server it worked (but it got a new look x__X) and than I tried logging into another server but that failed. Same look like on screenshot, freezing, no errors.
I closed the RC with Taskmanager and retried it, but now its working nowhere. Even the dev icons from the servers on Login screen from RC are not loading

So what´s the solution now?

I clos

Razel89 03-10-2011 09:32 PM

i just tested the rc without Graphical Menu and it worked fine...but as soon as i activate the Graphical Menu i get the same problem... =/

How do you know? He's made many improvements to RC as of late, including porting it to Mac and adding support for community names. Hopefully he's realized that the scripted RC is a joke. I haven't seen him say anything to the contrary recently.
