Some (DEV-)Servers got deleted - Please help!
 

Hello,

I don't know whom to ask so I ask here. I got a problem: mine and many other playerworlds arn't in the server list anymore so I can't connect. Also Zeron gots deleted... We invested so much work and time in it and now everything is gone :confused:
Can someone of the higher staff please help to get at least Zeron back? It was one of the most progressed dev-servers and gots deleted without notifying us (the staff team and me) before so we didn't have a chance to make a backup of all the good stuff.

Why so many of the servers got deleted? I have 15 days developer gold left but my server got deleted too...

Hello, we're looking into the issue with your server. However, for any other servers we will need the account/community name of the owner.

The owner's account name of Zeron is Megamas. I don't know why this server got deleted but it would be great if we can get a backup.

It didn't get deleted, servers are down -_-

When the physical servers crash it takes the hosted servers on it with it, then they have to go through and restore them. As for your backup it is always a smart idea to create your own backup as well, so you have a physical copy of all the work.

I thought all files and scripts are gone...

I have a backup of my own server but not a backup of Zeron !pissed!
Also the owner has forgotten to take a backup so also the stuff I did there is unreachable.

Duh.

He posted this before the servers were taken down.

I'm not talking about the servers being moved. I'm talking about the servers disappearing. If you look at the serverlist and see UN is gone as well, then it's hard to jump and assume that they were deleted, but just that the servers crashed.

They are back online! ^_^

AEON is not on the Hosted Tab anymore, and the name of the server is dev_napop2p

Zeron was shut down six months ago. Jack and I are planing to get a new subscription for the server so we can proceed with the project.

But for now we just do not have enough time for it, so it may take some time to get Zeron back online ;)

Ok renamed that.
The problem was an extreme database lag, that's why the name of some servers were reset. It shouldn't happen anymore, we will also change some scripts to prevent that. May be it could remember the names of the servers even if subscription runs out or the server owner hasn't logged into the server for some time.

Aeon needs to be renamed and added onto the hosted tab again.
