What's your thoughts on mousing ?

why'd you make a video for this?
using mouse on a keyboard shooting server doesn't fit at all, it give's an upperhand to the one using it, and you can't compare FPS to a 2D game that easy, really.

I never compared a FPS to a 2d game.

Alotta 2d games use mouse...

And i don't get how its a keyboard shooting server if you can use mouse.
Its obviously a mouse/keyboard shooting server.

Never heard of a keyboard shootin' game.

Mouse was added in way, way later. I'm thinking some time during the middle of V5 it came out

Yes but I don't get how it hurt it , its another control.

It has a distinct advantage over those who use keyboard, if you honsetly can see how then maybe you should just quit this topic all together.

Well its not really a advantage . Pro Keyboard usser > Pro Mouse user.

Steve can easily kill a mouse user with his pro skills.

Fact is that a newb using a keyboard and a newb using a mouse is that the one with the mouse has an advantage.

You can just use your keyboard to play it on PC.

I never said that you can't use joystick or mouse. You said you never heard about a shooting game you can just play with keyboard, and I'm telling you there's Wolf 3D :noob:

IMO Mouse controls are fine if the keyboard uses the right configuration.

If the arrow keys are the only movement method, then it's going to complicate things if the numeric and alphabetic keys need to be used, since you will be constantly shifting from left hand on the main keyboard area and the right hand on the arrows, and left hand on the arrows, and right hand on the mouse. (or left hand main, right hand mouse but you will sacrifice movement, which tends to be something you don't want to lose)

That said, if you're planning to utilize the mouse and require the main keyboard area, do something like WoW does and set the up, down, left, and right movement keys to W,A,S, and D, so that you can use 1,2,3,4,e,r,f,g,x,c,v etc for misc functions (change weapons with 1,2,3,4,etc. reload with q or e (spacebar works too. you could also use shift. and set an alternate running speed to the other.), and all that fun stuff) use the mouse for shooting at all angles, all without sacrificing movement or adding too much complexity.
