Poker Tournament

Introduction:
This will be a poker tournament which will be conducted of several rounds depending on how many people turn up, each round will be 3 players + the dealer(myself). The rules will be a simplified adaptation of Texas Hold Em.

Explanation:
Each round will consist of 3 players all battling with each other to move onto the next round. Each player will need 100 platinum to use as "chips". The minimum bet will be 5 and the max will 25. "All in" will only become available after when the 4th hand of the round has been dealt. The winner will be either:
A) The person who obtains all other chips, or
B) Has the most chips by the end of round 6.

In the final round the chip budget will increase to 200 and the round end limit will be raised to 10.

Rules:
- Each player will be dealt 2 cards, faced down.
- The betting begins with the person left of the dealer. They can place a bet or fold. The betting then proceeds around the table clockwise. You will be given the chance to raise, call or fold.
- When everyone has done their action 3 cards will be dealt face up onto the center of the table. These cards can (and will) be used by everyone in combination with their own two cards to make the best hand.
- Another round of betting begins with the player to the dealers left.
- A 4th card is placed face up on the center of the table.
- Another round of betting
- The 5th and final card is placed in the center of the table.
- One final round of betting before the remaining players will show their cards and the player with the best hand will win all the chips for that round.

Prizes:
Prizes will be announced on the day. There will be a prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. I can assure you that the grand prize will be worth it.

Please can you post in this thread of PM me in-game to let me know you will be coming for sure. I will randomly put the groups together a day before the event and I will announce it here. You may still join the event on the day.

I will answer any and all questions you might have about the event.

Making a business proposition with any new player who doesn't have 100 platinum coins, i'll give you 100 platinum coins for 51% of the prize received. It's a risky bet on my part, only three people will get prizes.

Shadow was the bomb, after the first couple of rounds he'd always have a few chips left then he'd go all in and win a load back. Total hustler.

So, you couldn't "check" in that game?

You could. It was pretty simple to win; basically just get a decent lead, as theres only a total of 300 chips every round, so if you get 151 and fold every round.. you win.

Get 151 and fold = win.
