Formats and Compatibility
I have been using Microsoft ADPCM to encode my sound files for quite a while now, but it has surfaced recently that a few players on the server I work on (Era) are unable to hear the majority of the sounds which I save in this format.
These players are using the Mac client. Has anybody else experienced this on their servers? What formats work for all of the playerbase while still keeping filesize reasonable? |
.ogg works I believe

Ogg might work, not sure if the Graal client supports it. Make sure you use proper file extensions as I know Ogg files don't work with a .wav extension on Mac whereas they do on Windows.

If possible use uncompressed wav files or mp3, other formats are not officially supported.

Ye ogg would be the best choice it's smaller than mp3 and has a better quality. MPC is a little bit better than ogg for audio quality but Bigger.
Mp3 is the most spread you're sure it will work too I guess |
