Links not opening in default browser
 

I have Google Chrome as my default browser, however if I open a link within the Graal client the page will open in Firefox which was the default browser on installation of my operating system. As far as I can tell Graal seems to be the only application using Firefox instead of the default browser but I'm still not sure if it's a problem with my operating system or the Graal client. This is beginning to bug me because I'm continually copy and pasting the link into Chrome.

have you tried reinstalling the graal client (sounds silly but this is graal and anything can be a reason)

I formatted and reinstall my operating system three days ago and had to reinstalled Graal at the same time but I still had the same problem even before I reinstalled the operating system.

What OS are you using?

Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx)

Same with me kinda, but mine opens up in Internet Explorer instead of Firefox.

And I got Windows 7 x32.

Nice to know it isn't an operating system specific problem.

i got annoyed about this too, i found where i could change that, theres a setting somewhere you set your default browser, chrome opens any link from me in a new tab.
ima find it (again) for you and edit this post.

Edit: System -> Preference -> Preferred Applications, select Google Chrome, and check "open link in new tab" (or window, if u like)

I've already checked that.

The screenshot below shows every possible place I could change my default browser and it is all set to Chrome.

Edit: Chrome isnt set to "Default" browser for me (in Chromes options), try to set Firefox to default?

Never had a problem with it on Windows.

You got Windows 7 x32 or x64?

Used both with no problems.

On Linux is normally uses the BROWSER environment variable and falls back to firefox, but it seems on Debian, Ubuntu & co it's using a new x-www-browser link. This will be supported in the next Linux version.

but you will have support for the current style still, right?
