Put news on the main Graal site

In the front, where everyone can see this is at least a little bit active of a game, not hidden where no ones really going to give a crap to look. Kind of like the older websites.

Crono 08-07-2010 01:08 AM

more like completely change the graal site please.

sssssssssss 08-07-2010 02:47 AM

^ yes. I was just tryin to be SUPER DUPER simple. :/ Even then I know it won't happen probably.

Shards-Of-Fate 08-07-2010 03:27 AM

Both would be nice. At least make Graal not "appear" dead.

DarkReaper0 08-07-2010 04:41 AM

I like being told there's 2000 people playing on a server I can't access from the website.

And that apparently this is the picture of the day for GK O_O
http://graalonline.com/community/gallery/2806

And then there's the website telling me this is the latest download:
http://graalonline.com/kingdoms/downloads/

Gee, for the server that's supposed to be your money maker it seems pretty desolate out there.

Not a single GK picture submitted since 2007. Shows how popular the Graal website/GK is.

EDIT: Not to mention this at the bottom of every page:

:p

Deas_Voice 08-07-2010 04:58 AM

kia345 08-07-2010 05:15 AM

I just noticed you can't buy shirts anymore :(

Inverness 08-07-2010 05:22 AM

Just came here to tell everyone how much I despise that new site.

Dnegel 08-07-2010 12:57 PM

It's a shame.

nullify 08-07-2010 01:18 PM

I would buy a shirt with the old website layout on it.

I completely agree, the current news pages are not exactly easy to find and are also split into three different pages for Graal Kingdoms, Zone, and Playerworlds which can be a bit confusing.

Edit: It might be a good idea to set up an rss feed for the news.

Seeing 20 news articles about servers that are not released (and probably won't be released) is not what I would expect to see from an active game. I would rather see events or updates about the servers we're actually playing on (100% of the time) before that stuff is made front-page news.

This^.

Plus total site redesign. The game needs a visual re-branding on the exterior end.

Both of what you said would be better though. Then we can't be told its not for developers and not for players, it'd be both, and show activity on both sides. MO anyways.

Umm... no pictures for the website have been approved since 2007, but many have been submitted. That doesn't say anything at all about how popular anything is at all.

But it does show activity somewhat. I don't think any of us really care about popularity at this point.

Okay then I am curious. Are the photos that have been submitted since 07 been given a chance or like those who apply to a fast food joint through the drive thru get thrown away?

DrakilorP2P 08-08-2010 10:54 AM

The last picture of the day approved was two teens roleplaying french kissing on a 2d video game?

That says nothing about popularity your right, but that's still not a good thing. x_x Says a lot about Global Staff, or maybe just Stefan.

gravator 08-13-2010 06:28 PM

Perhaps when Bomy Lands or whatever the next name will be starts updating again, there will be monthly progress shown on the front page? Don't worry about having your "hard work" stolen and just hide everything like the last manager and the one before koni, whoever tries to use it will not be able to add it to their server effectively, and it would look ridiculous, you would only show bits and pieces right?

fowlplay4 08-13-2010 10:25 PM

They (Stefan or Unix) won't even change redirects (Support Center) to something meaningful, so they definitely won't add a news feed to the front page.

Nataxo 08-14-2010 05:47 AM

The screenshot submitting has been disabled since.... 2006 or w/e.

Luda 08-14-2010 10:47 AM
