Approving new computer every reboot
 

I am getting sick and tired of having to do this every single time I reboot my computer. It's getting so frustrating that I've just stopped bothering about logging on RC at all the past days. Bell told me there have been a lot of complaints about it, yet nothing seems to be done.

Using Windows 7, but I've never had this problem until I came back after having quit for 2-3 months.

EDIT: My PCID remains the same day after day, as well as my IP, so that can't be it.

Only your RC PCID is changing daily?

It might be you're not actually adding it? When you log on RC, log off client, then do "/openaccess your_account" and add that PCID. RC has a different PCID on 64-bit systems and I've run into a few people with problems where they think their PCID is changing when in fact it's their IP that changes—although, since you said your IP isn't changing I have no idea if adding your RC PCID doesn't work.

EDIT: Nevermind, if you're getting the "approve the computer" message, that wouldn't make sense.

My RC IP range doesn't include my PCID at all, it's only a couple of set IP addresses.

This happens on my Linux partition whenever I try to log on to Classic iPhone. It disconnects me the first time asking me to approve computer but I can log on the second time with no changes made. Slightly annoying.

He's had 15 pc id's in less than 2 months without his ip changing once. This has to be one of the most annoying things to deal with I've seen yet.

I wonder if these people have something in common with their hardware..?

Might help if we knew some of his specs.

Edit: Well, assuming it's not simply the fact that he's running Windows 7. If so, nevermind :p

All the other issues were specific to Windows 7, and based what Bell told me on AIM, this one is too.
