Black and white should NOT be transparent
Requesting server option:
Both of the image formats that are used for Graal primarily (PNG and GIF) support transparency. WHY are black and white still used as transparency? And for some reason, not only is pure black transparent, but so are colors near pure black (when in full screen mode and on some computers). Even exporting as a 24-bit PNG with transparency does not work. |
I keep complaining about this :(
I also experienced the near-black and near-white bugs in fullscreen as well. |
Hahaha, is this seriously still in the current version
|
I agree, it's annoying when heads that appear to be transparent are uploaded are then glitched on the playerlist as a result of this method being used.
|
This **** happens to the redreaper heads in windowed mode even.
|
I wish things weren't so black and white.
|
graal is perfect how dare you guys say it isn't!!!

This have happened too me so many times that I can't explain it, and I agree with you that it shouldn't become transparent.

I've always used green in graphics without green, darkblue in graphics without blue, and yellow whenever at all possible, to annoy those opening my graphics XD
I could see white, sure, But who would use black? :/ |

Make your graphics, brightness filter - 2, brightness filter + 1, your graphic will no longer have any completely white or completely black pixels ;O
The "when it's near" probably results from 16-bit fullscreen mode. |
Every problem you guys are experiencing/will ever experience with Graal will be fixed in V6!

About special transparency: When a palettized image is using transparency then all palette entries which use an identical color will also be made transparent. The reason for that is that in <=v5 on Windows it was using color-key transparency. Hundreds of heads and body graphics are using this transparency which makes it necessary to support it. There is however no black or white transparency, and no special transparency for 24 or 32 bit pngs. |
