RC status -- server subscription time

Along with the server name and playercount, I think it'd be extremely useful if RC showed how much time was left on the server's subscription.

Would be extremely easy to tell when it's time to do a back-up or resubscribe.

Would probably make more sense if you could check this through an RC command?

This would probably be the best way to implement it, I like the idea.

Why is that needed? Doesn't the owner of the server always see that?

yes, on client, but what about the staffs or management ?

i've seen alot of UC servers with managers and the server owner doesn't even play no more, for example Testbed' (one owns it, some1 else pays it, some1 runs it, ect)

Can't you see how much time is left on your client login? I don't have developer gold but I'm guessing the server renter sees something like this:

Subscription status: Zone Gold Subscription (104 days left), Kingdoms Gold Subscription (104 days left), Playerworlds Gold Subscription (104 days left), Classic Subscription

The PWA can see the remaining time by doing a /global accountinfo account. /global serverinfo just tells us that the status is ok. I can see where this would be useful though since not all owners tell their developers how much time is left.

Bell, They are talking about a script for the staff on the server to view it.. Not for the owner (They can on client) of Global Staff..

I understand that which is why I said that something like /serverinfo would be helpful when the server renter doesn't tell the staff how much time is left. I would hope though that he/she would be active enough to answer that question when asked.

Ok improved the /global serverinfo command a little bit and also enabled

/global serverinfo this

for all staff.

Works for me...what server are you on?

cbk1994 05-12-2010 08:20 PM

It will probably require a gserver restart. It's working for Sales because he owns the server.

Nope. There's no one in charge of documenting things.
