Buffs

The current stat buffs (constitution, dexterity, armor, strength, charisma) don't really do anything. Buffing could, and should, be a strong tactical element. Buffing before battles, in wars, in your leisure, should be possible. Currently to buff ones stats cannot exceed 20 for the buff to take effect. This is pretty ludicrous since the max is at 30, and even beyond 30 one can overstack in a specific stat; one can have 34str it just wont take effect until it's put against a debuff like poison/disease. So first suggestion would be to allow buffs to take affect regardless of the players initial stats, perhaps not allowing buffs to act as overstackers, so they won't work if someone is at 30 of the targeted stat.

Second suggestion would be to have buffs for all the stats, there's no int/power/wisdom buff which is quite insulting to mages..

Thought to put in the bug's section but didn't seem to bug-like.

Maybe at another point in time, as of right now, Gk's pvp system as a whole is flawed.

*thread sadly ignored by most* :\

How about a set time for the buffs and a way to see how much longer they are going to last as well?

Or time determined from wis/magic/phys/etc levels.

there is no wis/int/power buff because gk is completely biased against mages.. favoring melee... look at the K/D or how op'ed poison is ESPECIALLY vs. mages, plus if u have someone using resist scrolls u can virtually negate magic damage to near 0...

i do however agree with majin about the buffs and being able to apply them regardless of ur base stats... but not allowing them to be used for over stacking the stats

I don't think the intention was to create a system where mages are second class. The whole magic system just happens to be really ****ed up. Magic level or Pow doesn't increase the strength of spells, all spells are from level 1-18.. ridiculous, many spells which would be combat helpful don't work (e.g. slow, poison etc), for some retarded reason it costs more mana to cast a spell as you level while the spell itself doesn't change at all, there is no cooldown system encouraging diversity, there is no escape spell that mages really need. I could probably think of more but those are just the first ones that popped into my head.

Poison isn't a problem only for mages. It's overpowered for everyone who isn't packing holy pos on them 24/7.

Problems with the pvp system were stated in this thread, if buffs were actually working system, it'd just make pvp more flawed imo.
