Understanding all this "New Era" Myth..
 

Could someone please exsplain to me wth you all are going on about a "New era"........ From what i've read in a few threads is that it just sounds like another "Era reset" Hoax, Seems to happen every time new staff come into play they say 'We are going to reset soon" But it never happens and i dont think it will ever happen again before the game finally dies...

Player counts fluctuate, and the lower playercount is seen all across GraalOnline. When I logged on today, Era was at 80+ and the other servers were lower.

'New Era' is basically just a term people started using for the work being done on the Era Dev server. And yeah, a lot of stuff on there would require a full reset to be implemented.

Yes but would you agree its not going to happen in lets say the next 2-4 years?

Just browse this forum for about 20 minutes and you will see what i mean, Every year or so there are talks about a reset that never happens, Like many have said before a reset does nothing if you dont fix what is broken first or sooner or later it will be just as bad as it was before the reset.

New Era isn't a reset, it was originally and i'm assuming still is, a whole new server in the sense of many new levels,new gang set up, new events, new quests, new npc items, etc. "New Era" had a nearly if not completely finished gmap months ago, but then Angel who was leading it left. Seemed like alot was getting done while she was around, but maybe i just don't hear about any updates anymore because im not longer in the cool club aka staff

era is a joke i remember EC had this unique gun 1 hit killed and he'd do gang raids with it R.I.P. EC but wow and also that one guy who used to be manager mikey or whatever he used to give kill and chelsie free items all the time.

then i think you mean to say era was a joke. I think right now, the staff overall are good in the sense of not being corrupt or abusing.

Progress is slow, but I'm hoping it will speed up soon. I'm going to hire the new LATs this weekend and start on the GMAP.

Angel's GMAP was a complete joke; ask Deophite, Sales, or any of the staff who had access to the development server at the time. I told her (as scripting admin at the time) that it was dreadfully awful and convinced Deophite to open up the development server for player input. No one liked it. Angel shrugged it off by saying, "The player's don't know what they want," and becoming angry at myself for allowing players to see her plans.

It really was dreadfully ugly

Ah okay, I never got to see it other than the small gmap picture.

is the new GMAP at least gonna look like a city?

'new era' is a prank that we play on all the new players so that the gullible ones are scared away. Its why era players are top quality.

Era players including myself are the lowest quality of graal. The most ignorant, think they know everything, loudmouthed, a-hole people of all of Graal.

At other places (besides era takeoff servers) people are nice, i really dont understand this...but w/e

They were Era's own forums, that weren't moderated as strict as here, More things tended to get done over there.

I dont like forums that are moderated to where your nervous to say something, or get a little edgy.

With this forum ive just learned to stfu and go with the flow. But I still think its over moderated..

Well what I used to post, I dont really post useless cynical crap anymore, i try to be more understanding with topics.

Im getting the sense that the "good forums" were more of a serious place, with not alot of tolerance for horse ****, but alot of tolerance for opinion.

No, it was pretty much a circle jerk for "oldbies" who wanted to feel like they were important by trolling anyone who wasn't a part of their little club :cool:.
