Leveling phys?
 

Hi, relative noob here.

What kind of weapon do I best use to lvl phys (atm: phys 8) and what would it cost to buy one?

EDIT: Thinking about it: Better question would be what kind of weapon should I get at all (and what woud it cost)?
because atm I just have a plain X-Mas flame sword, with no upgrades/blessings at all, and I can (logically) only inflict minimal damage.

At a low physical level any weapon using Govannon would serve you well with killing monsters and much later Bile when you have the physical level to 1 hit kill monsters.

Bless your weapon with a good god is more important than a good weapon

I agree with Felix, Bless it to Govannon. And then kill those ****ing noobs.

And get a dagger and get someone to bless it to Bile, Now you have like 50% chance to 1 hit monsters.

It depends on what you want to kill. Bile is a great blessing to have on weapons. Gov works great for inflicting good damage too. As for player-pking, usually ogma (poison) or leuctious (electricty) works great. I'd suggest blessing one sword Gov, and getting a Bile hook. See how they work out

Now there is a BIG levelling gap on GK, something thats needed fixed for a while, but i'll fill you in on a way to level up fast. Ask someone, usually a level 110 if they can write "Summon Water Elemental Scrolls" Have them write you about 20 of these. Gather 2-3 of your friends, atleast one who wants to level wisdom/magic. Go to the vanirs crypt. Use your scrolls to weaken the enemies inside, and then have your friend cast "Cause critical wounds" to kill them. After you weaken with your Elemental Scroll, make sure you equip a weapon so that you have readied: melee weapons, so that when your friend kills them, you level phys experience. This is the best way of levelling at the moment. Or you can try and kill the zombies outside of the crypt with your new scrolls. Good luck, any questions, PM me in-game or on here!

Thanks for your replies, got a naginata of bile+4 atm, working quite well so far. Saved the xmas flame for later. Got someone to help me on a brutal, so that gave me +4 lvl of phys, so that's helping too.

Govannon weapons are all you'll be needing until about level 35 when you'll be using bile properly for levelling through brutals. Always have a bile hook and govannon sword. They are the essentials for pve.

I've found that, in most situations except when fighting monsters in immenses, a Hook of Bile +5 will do nicely.

Personally, I use a Hook of Bile +15 for juicy kills. But you have to prep your hook to get it up that high.

Weapon doesn't matter! just make it Govannon ;)

Also as a side note adding EW's to a bile weapon does nothing besides increase WC and damage by 1, which of course is pointless because you only use a bile weapon if you can take advantage of the death effect.

I find that my "hook of Bile" functions the exact same way but hey, whatever helps you sleep at night.

Yea, it does. I have a hook of bile+16 which is disappointingly as (in)effective as a hook of bile.

Apparently the only thing adding +'s does, is add +1 WC per +1 blessing. Which isn't completely wasted, but the only time WC is useful, mainly, is PVP. and who's going to use bile PVP?

I had positive experience with a sai. It's lightly (8,5 kg), fast and has a good basic damage of +5.

Yup, in a perfect world the level of blessing should have an affect (in all blessings, ogma etc.) on the chance an effect occurs. Which would encourage high level blessing and the use/importance of Enchant Weapon scrolls. At the moment all you need is a high phys, 70 would do fine, and weapons at level 1 (+0) blessings. You'll be just as powerful as someone with the same phys but maximum level blessings on their weapons.
Which is a shame...
