Remote Control 1 download.
 

Does anyone have a copy of RC1 that they could post or pm me that I could download because older versions of RC seem to work with my computer but RC2 does not. If anyone could supply me with a copy of this it would be great.

That explains my problem, RemoteControl wont open up at all which is lame because I'm stuck using ScriptedRC. I'm hoping that someone has a copy of RC1 so I can at least use that.

Just a brain spasm thought here, but are you using an Internet Security program by any chance? Running RC2 for the first time on my computer after a reformat or whatever, my Norton Internet Security deletes it and quarantines it and the only way I can run it is if I "Undo" the quarantine and select "Exempt from scans".

I find the problem is that Internet Security programs seem to find that RemoteControl2.exe and some of the other Dev tools such as GraalShop.exe are being reported as "High risk" items.

I killed all processes that weren't require for windows to run. I personally don't use any form of internet security because I know what to click, what not to and so on. I'm not sure why RC does this but whatever is wrong doesn't effect older copies ex: the rc used for 1.3.9, I just need one with a server list so I can log onto era/testbed without having to use ClientRC which lags me to all hell.

I still got RC1, but it doesn't work anymore, I just tried it. Returns a version error:
What a shame. Used to use it for folders with too many files, RC1 seems to have a higher tolerance here. Doesn't crash as often when trying to open such folders.

Edit: A possible fix for your problem might be installing GTK, but I have no idea which version is needed for RC2. Maybe Loriel can help you out with that.

I'm installing a Virtual Machine to run it off of and hopefully that will work. I'm taking it to the extreme.
