FN Mark 46

The FN Mark 46 was originally released by Bounty Hunter, only four of these items were released. There are still as of now, four remaining on the server.
I only see three Active ones though. The item costs an arm and a leg; originally and even with Chris Vimes' massive nerf, the price was always the same... a few limbs. A little while back, the item was maliciously nerfed by another Admin to the standards of a common item. One as frequent as 35 released each sold at under 15,000$.

These are the stats of one of the rarest and most expensive items as of recently:

Gun Stats for 'FNMark46':
Damage: 20
Rate of Fire: 0.3
Freeze: 0.14
Reload: 0.5

These are the stats of one of the least expensive and most frequent items as recently:
Gun Stats for 'Daewoo':
Damage: 20
Rate of Fire: 0.32
Freeze: 0.14
Reload: 0.2

I don't think you need a rocket scientist to tell you there's something wrong with that. I mean if the Tommy Gun gets a sexy buff randomly, can the FN Mark get some TLC? I know this revelation will piss off FN Mark owners; but sadly it is what it is. Although none of us FN Mark owners are tight-knit with Admins, we'd like to believe that there's a shortage of bias on the staff team and that our item can get some well-justified TLC (Tender Loving Care).

Thank you.

Mine was reset, which I obtained off luscian when he was about to quit.
If that helps with the number of them around.

cbk1994 02-16-2010 11:22 PM

As I explained to you, gun stats don't follow price, it's the other way around. The gun used to be a gang (or business, I guess) gun, so it's understandable that it was nerfed considerably.

So what's your reasoning behind buffing the TG to the best,or one of the best guns in era, aside from the fact your buddies have them.

Please explain these other unknown factors you continiously illude to.
I guarantee you the FN Mark 46 will meet those requirements flawlessly. =].
Also, the Morano Thompson was a gang gun... its stats are purely justified due to there being a "good-amoun" of them amongst other things.

Gun Stats for 'Morano Thompson':
Damage: 20
Rate of Fire: 0.24
Freeze: 0.12
Reload: 0.35

Gun Stats for 'FNMark46':
Damage: 20
Rate of Fire: 0.3
Freeze: 0.14
Reload: 0.5

Whats your explanation for that?
Note: The less of each thing except damage, the better.

I am seriously about to make you eat those words, haha.
The Desert Raven belonged to the Blazian Bandits before the gang gun was changed, these are the current stats of that gun.

Gun Stats for 'Desert Raven':
Damage: 24
Rate of Fire: 0.25
Freeze: 0.1
Reload: 0.25

Please, explain to me how its rarity and cost didn't play a huge role in that.
You RECENTLY BUFFED this item. Hm?

Nonepwnz 02-16-2010 11:36 PM

All the other Bounty Hunter members were given stats according to these same standards and all are sold for above 300k and their stats "fit" them. Yet there's more than 8 of each of them.

Gun Stats for 'UMP': (8-10 of these exist)
Damage: 20
Rate of Fire: 0.24
Freeze: 0.13
Reload: 0.3

Gun Stats for 'Dual Bounty Hunter': (16 of these exist)
Damage: 20
Rate of Fire: 0.29
Freeze: 0.14
Reload: 0.3

Gun Stats for 'FNMark46': 4 of these exist.
Damage: 20
Rate of Fire: 0.3
Freeze: 0.14
Reload: 0.5

Please explain that difference? The most expensive is the weakest? o.O?
Makes no sense dude, come on fix it, you know its wrong.

DarknessShadow 02-16-2010 11:40 PM

Even the guy with a TG is complaining.
Buff it.

GarethOmni 02-16-2010 11:56 PM

The spread stat should be included in there, Just sayin.

Venom_Fish 02-16-2010 11:59 PM

It doesn't allow me to do view that, or else I would most-definitely.
The spread is an opinionated matter, as for me, I prefer less spread than more. I actually like my bullets going where I intended them to go, I hate "hoping" to hit someone.

So thats all arguable, so its inclusion wouldn't do anything to support or negate my argument.

Interesting. I'd always assumed the more spread the better, since it's harder to predict where a bullet will go if they spread more. But then again I'm horrible at it, so it makes sense that someone who isn't would want to be more in control of where their bullets go.

Dnegel 02-17-2010 12:09 AM

A gun with much spread should have much rate of fire, a gun with little rate of fire should have little spread.

Venom_Fish 02-17-2010 12:11 AM

Huh?
Do you mean: The more spread, slower the gun should shoot?
Less spread: Faster?

Or vice-versa?

Good_Ol_Daze 02-17-2010 12:41 AM

somebody named a gun after me?

Nataxo 02-17-2010 12:53 AM

Make a shop that sells them.

CharlieM 02-17-2010 02:14 AM

He's right, theres 3 Fn Marks, and there is 10 or more UMPs and UMP has some of the best stats for a gun

Venom_Fish 02-17-2010 03:16 AM

He knows I'm right, hence why he's trying avoid the problem rather than addressing. Ex. He'd normally post tons of things to defend his point by now, he posted one point and it was ripped apart. Yet to see anymore, which basically leaves it at, its out of mere spite than any valid reason. "I don't like William Soul, he was the one who released the gun, and he owns one, buffing it would help him. I don't help those I hate." Even though its more of giving the gun a "just" stat than helping anyone, and if it were in the helping sense, there are three others being harmed if not.

I'm assuming I stand of more than three people. How flattering.

Even though its obvious, every action just goes to show more and more his immaturity.
I'm assuming thats one of the primary reasons he was DECLINED Management.

Vman13x 02-17-2010 03:36 AM

The shipka belonged to mongrel mob to add to the point others made.

Not to jump to conclusions or any of that business but as me being an Admin before, nerfing/buffing was a must. No matter what they all say it's always one thing or another, whether it was buffed for a friend or not. I think in the long run things that are asked for are looked upon the administration I can count on that 100%. They may not always be accepted or approved due to other reasons. Think twice before you speak about him not buffing something due to a resultant of him not liking you, if that was the case he wouldn't even be presented administrator. It's biased and pretty weak for a high priority staff member to occur on that.

cbk1994 02-17-2010 04:32 AM

Both the TG and DR were changed, not buffed. The changes might not have been as balanced as I wanted them to be, but I would never make a gun better unless it's completely unbalanced.

The stats of a gun should be determined at the creation of the gun, not later. How much the gun is "worth" or how rare it is is no reason to change a gun's stats.

I originally nerfed the Desert Raven before it was auctioned, but it was nerfed too much and had to be rebuffed. It isn't near as powerful as it was before; it's still a pretty considerable nerf.

Also, I might point out that you were in the room at the time the stats of the TG were being determined, and you agreed with them at the time.

Demisis_P2P 02-17-2010 07:30 AM

Threads like this are why I only made gun stats visible as bars and not raw numbers.

Also, can't believe guns still have stats like 0.12 and 0.14 after we learnt a long time ago that only factors of 0.05 count. 0.12 and 0.14 are both treated as 0.15 because they don't update until the next timeout. This applies for all stats.

Overdue, buddy.

You are like a moving contradiction, if the stats to a gun are determined at its creation, why then was the FN Mark changed? Why then was the DR changed? Why then has almost every single gun on era been changed at times long after their creation? Please, don't give me that. Ha.

Why did you attempt to drastically nerf the Mp5 Navy? I mean, it was long after release at that time.

Why didn't you just revert it back to the initial stats? Why change it entirely? Their DR lost its authenticity, it was always a 2-bullet gun, since release. You've entirely changed the weapon, which again contradicts your initial statement.

The Tommy Gun I NEVER agreed with, I stated otherwise from the moment you continiously buffed it, you continued to ignore my remarks until the end. You and RAMSFAN decided on those stats, I was only asked for my consent on the Mp5 Navy, because and I quote "I did not OWN a Tommy Gun." Keep it real, please.

While on the topic of the Tommy Gun, lets throw in its relevance; you just recently buffed the Tommy Gun. Tommy Gun's been around far longer than most weapons. Safe to say it was created long ago and stats were set long ago. I requested that you set it back to its original stats or something like it, you did quite the opposite, obviously.

I already knew they worked in .05s Demisis.

As for Taylor, I think you might want to sit back, relax and observe. Bias not existing in the Administrative body? Please. You sound more naive than the thought of removing spawned money with spawned items. Ha.

Because it sucked when it was created. It wasn't released for several months, but the initial version of it just sucked.

Venom_Fish 02-18-2010 04:32 AM

I think he meant at the time of release when he stated "created". A gun isn't really officially "created" until its released, theoretically. So scratch that.

RogueShatterblade 02-19-2010 01:38 AM

good to know the tried-and-true circular logic of era's developers is still in place.

Venom_Fish 02-19-2010 02:28 AM

You're a hard man to kill, I already had a moment of silence for you and everything... yet here you are. Good to know.

RogueShatterblade 02-19-2010 02:36 AM

The way I see it, the better the gun, the more expensive it should be. ^^
And this should be based on saying stats "Gun Name" to the NPC-Server.
