Barrels
 

Fix the stupid 'immunity from all physical attacks' associated with barrels.
How can we slay kvasir and rack up 1k+ damage on some creeps and be powerless in the presence of a barrel?

Seriously they should be breakable, with their own health, or not shield from physical damage entirely.

He's just the most recent abuser of this. Barrels have been used for their immunity effects for years either by running noobs using it to heal, or mages using it to have a platform to cast on freely.

You've been playing since 05 (or so you say) and haven't encountered a barrel? There are barrels in every ship and one outside MMT, there are probably barrels elsewhere but i don't have my barrel map.

I've played for a fair amount of time, I really never paid attention to barrels. I didn't know you could actually get in them until one or two years ago.

There are 3 ways to solve this

1. Get an ogma wep and poison ( If the barrels agrees poison )

2. Just wait for them to come out.

3. Place director,Lighting walls,Bullet walls and then just wait.

They might not work as i never tried.

He's suggesting you camp the barrel until they try to escape - what I don't think he's aware of is that players can cast strong magic from inside their fortress of barreltude... making any such camping endeavour a very poor decision.
Wonder if he saw the scene where the car goes over the cliff...

You don't know anything... There's only 1 way and that's to either out-spam them in spells or manage to let off a cause many wounds which will surely force them out. And they wouldn't get in if there was a director there, and if you placed one whilst they were in, sanctuary would block the attack long enough for them to earth to dust it. Poison would only give you an opening to cast a spell, but sanctuary will block any spell so you have to use a prayer.

He's talking about countering barrels. But his methods only work on those that can't even use barrels properly.
