www.zodiacdev.com, why?

Why does it exist, we can just use this forum. I mean your wasting money on a host for nothing.

I have 2 years prepaid hosting that I use for other things (Public Zodiac Wiki, Private Dev Wiki, Obscureurl.ru, etc.), and the domain was provided for free.

It's not a waste and we let quite a few things fly on there as well (most of which would be deleted on these forums), and full control of the site is important as well.

Well, when a "newbie" to Graal comes on the forums to check it out, they'll see "Zodiac" but there wont be any information about it in this thread.
The only way is if they come on and see the zodiacdev.com ad! GARGH

Whens the last time a "newbie" came to check out a server based on it's sub-forum in these forums? That's such a rare occurrence that it doesn't even matter.

In fact we message people as soon as they login on client that they can find our new forums on zodiacdev.com

Now take a step back from Zodiac for a sec..

The Graal client doesn't even have text or ads that advise players to check out the Official Graal forums in-game (which should have some sort of implementation in-game), so I'd say there's more pressing issues than us using our own forum rather than this sub-forum.

I don't like how I have to register to view simple things like information on the pumpkin competition.

I'll remind others next time to use the News function instead of a forum thread, so people don't have to jump those hoops.

You could just let people view the forums WITHOUT registering.

There's a couple sub-forum's that are readable by the public, everything else requires registration.

do you guys still change forums ever other week?

fowlplay4 11-02-2009 12:26 AM

No we've had these forums up (since June) and running for quite a while now, all the previous ones were hosted on other people's web servers.

Crono 11-02-2009 12:31 AM

I think Zodiac's forum is ok, just needs to be viewable (atleast some parts of it anyway) even if you don't have an account.

fowlplay4 11-02-2009 12:44 AM

The Zodiac News / Events (where we will post future event info), and Guides section are viewable by public.
