My Absence, My Excuse, A Solution?
 

I was not really sure where exactly to post this since this post will cover several things:

• I am not actively involved in the PWA right now.
• I am not actively involved in GK right now.
• I am not actively involved in Graal right now -- aside from forums.
• Something needs to change.

As some of you may have realized, I have not been doing anything lately on Graal. As a result, GK is suffering; PWA is doing well enough with Xor and TSAdmin handling things pretty well.

The reason why I am so inactive is because I recently moved to college, and on the campus network it doesn't let me connect to Graal. There are no blocked ports, they just do some packet filtering to prevent people from torrenting. Unfortunately, I have already found a workaround for the latter, but still cannot find a way to connect to securely Graal.

A VPN to my home computer is not an option, but I need to do something. I am taking suggestions.

Not sure if we can change the protocoll to make it work for you :D Polo was able to connect after asking the authorities to enable a certain port (had then to change the port of Classic)

I appreciate the offer, actually I think I may have just found a workaround for it. I'll keep testing around and make sure it's working 100 percent!

Managed to find a proxy program that worked with win7x64 and so now I am just funneling all Graal activity through there. Cheers!

i had the same problem for a long time when i used to dorm. of course i just couldn't do anything about it, and no one would have changed any ports for me

I'm lucky enough to have a connection at my university that doesn't interfere with anything I do. They do some packet shaping too, and have some pretty strict policies against P2P traffic.

I help run the firewalls at my University. Doesn't matter to me though since I commute.

I was going to say proxy, but you got it working.
