The Global News Admin (cyan3/Felix) needs to have rights to post news to the serverlist. I know Stefan is busy, but it takes several days for our news to appear. I'm sure Felix is more than capable and willing to post the news, and I'm also willing to help out if for some reason he can't.

It would make sense for Cyan to have the rights to move the news from the Graal Bible to the main login server.

I'm not sure what is required, but perhaps changes can be made. It seems quite ridiculous that news from 5 days ago isn't moved right away.

I thought the point of the news team was to get the ball rolling and that they were supposed to animate server staff to post news. It seems hard to reach that objective if the news won't get moved for 5 days, because that keeps some server managers uninterested in posting news.

Agreed, plus Graal Kingdoms news ends up being on top most of the time, regardless of the date posted.

This is increasingly becoming a very big problem that seems to be very hard to overcome. A few news articles have been uploaded to the graal wiki almost a week before the event or subject is due to be released and are either not moved to the login server in time or are only just moved the day of the event by which time it might be to late. I don't know if an easy solution is possible or not but it needs to improve supporting the news to work more efficiently and for it's intended purpose.

News article shouldn't be moved above others unless they are more important than the previous (by this I mean globally important and not from specific servers) or if a news article is large enough to hide other news articles completely it may be moved down to compensate for the largeness but should still be visible under the other news.

Aaaah just when I don't look for two days there are a lot of news x-x
I thought we have spoken about this before, it has technical reasons why the news cannot be approved other than by me or unixmad, we cannot give access to the webserver. Please send me an email to [email protected] if there are news which need to be approved as soon as possible.

You could always do some hacking to the MediaWiki (some sort of flagging system for approved news articles), and get around the technical problem, use requesturl to pull the news articles and so forth. ;)
