Graal on Windows 7 x64
 

Regardless of however great Windows 7 may be, Graal runs awfully on it. It constantly slows to a crawl when on the GMAP, and even when in levels with a few players in. It also seems to happen when there are a lot of GuiWindows open (e.g. PMs)

I've got an nVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics card, 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, and 4 GB of RAM, running Windows 7 RTM.

I've tried running in compatibility mode (XP SP3), but it did not good.

Have you went through different drivers yet?

I'm running the latest drivers right now (using the win7 x64 version), but just those.

Well it couldn't hurt to try one that's a little older.

This is happening to me too on a midrange laptop. I can't figure out why it does this only on laptops though.

Works fine for me on Windows 7 64-bit on a 9400M with 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and 2GB RAM. I'm wondering if you are using the graphics drivers installed with Boot Camp, in which case, go to nvidia.com and download some good ones.

This has been happening to me for years even with my regular vista latptop, and so far there has been no solutions. I have done all of the above and nothing, and its not even that bad of a laptop.. which concerns me

Are you guys on 5400RPM hard drives? Problem is that my laptop has been running Graal like this on several versions of Vista and now 7, even though my PC runs it fine. My laptop has pretty decent specs...

I'm using the latest from their site, but I'll try upgrading again a bit later just in case.

I guess Graal just doesn't work well with laptops, it never has and it pisses me off.

Yeah, it's a 5400 RPM drive.

Graal always been running slowly on my laptop, sadly a laptop is all I have.
I'll probably buy a new one when 7 will be out and installed on some laptop already. Hopefuly this should work great o_o

It ran flawlessly when I still had Windows XP :p
