So.. I guess I will be putting my crappy images in here xD..

well here's one from today.

I encourage you to point and laugh at them it makes it more enjoyable for everyone.


This is an Axe, for some of you it may be side show bobs hair, for others it may be a tree, some ones hair, or something else. Please post your reasoning's and ideas!

If i were you i wouldn't make the color scheme complicated, and just a bit plain.
Just steel-ish perhaps? And no flashy colors.

I am going to make it steal, I am just using red and blue to separate hot and cold sections of the blade.

looks ok but big, work more on the steel texture.
Quick hint: You dont really have to use gray colors to do a steel-ish design.
You can use a bit of gray'ed blue or gray'd red/purple.

Wow I somehow like the shade to it. But it doesn't look steel-ish, if that's what you were trying to do.

Well, I wasn't really going for steel or iron at first. I almost wanted a water/dark element type of weapon. I think the colors fit nicely together tho. It actually looks quite nice, but I still have some color editing to do.

I gave the gem almost like a glow.

Your shading looks nice. but it doesn't make any sense either, you need to pick a lightsource, and shade from there,and not just lighten all the sharp ends.

The blade doesn't look sharp to me. :(

Well, I don't know if its a blade. See, they way I see it, if you force yourself to make something, it wont turn out so well. Yet, if you just make without any intentions it can be what ever you want it to be. This could be a wand, an axe, a fan, a staff, who knows. Yet, I admit it doesn't look sharp, but it doesn't necessarily have to be an axe.

Not all blades are sharp, though. Perhaps this particular item is symbolic of royalty. And nevertheless, if a proportionately sized object where used to strike you, you'd still be dead or close to it. :D


As for the image itself, Kratos, I believe this was probably a better effort on your part compared to some of your other things. The recolor is much better than the original as well.

You can't make something if you don't even know what you want it to be.

No logic at all in your post, except if you're different from all others.

Doesn't look quite like an axe and more like some sort of flag of sorts. Not really a flag, but the blade itself looks like cloth.

The "blade" looks like a sheet of paper that's about to be recycled.

Take what you have so far and make it into a fan instead.
