Your Opinion #1: Jobs & Economy
Do you think jobs and economy hold place on Classic? Let's hear your thoughts!
|
Doesn't sit very well with me, especially on Classic where that was never a focus.
|
No.
|
lol
|
Is this classic or g2k1?
|
Jobs, no.
An economy, not really. However, it would be more realistic to keep the amounts of valuable items (gelats, tickets, etc.) in check, rather than having masses of said items sitting in banks or profiles doing nothing. |

I don't wish to see jobs on Classic because to me Classic is about simple fun where you can just log in and play and do what you wish. Don't like the idea of having to labour for rewards or anything.

burger refuge(add the food from gta)
pizza team(add it back god) graal restaurant(add more than just a beer, a restaurant doesnt sell beer only) for the economy, its would be a good start to STOP the ctf madness and stop hosting the same event daily. have more gralat shop, or more STUFF to do with them. |
@ the ctf madness complaint:
during the last months of classic being on the list (may/june perhaps,) the GC team had discussed the issue of the large amount of tickets given out at madness. We had discussed several options, and eventually decided that ctf madness would instead give out "gc tokens" rather than tickets. Essentially 5 or 10 of these tokens could be traded in for 1 ticket. Obviously the idea never was implemented (I believe clel was supposed to make them, but was off-and-on with activity like everyone else,) so whether or not a similar system is invented to solve the problem remains to be seen. Of course we could just get rid of ctf madness altogether, but I'd still like to see it held one weekend a month for a 3-4 hour period. IMO it's too much fun (when the games are competitive,) to just get rid of. But yeah, the excess tickets were a problem. |
Hmm, I think this thread sums up the opinions of just about all of Classic's old playerbase.

As for Jobs: naaaa. Maybe you could have something minor and fun to add more interest, but nothing too heavily integrated. I agree on somewhat of a managed economy so things don't go heavily inflated again so fast. (which inevitably it will) |

@ glad ctf is not the only event on classic u know. 300,babord survivor, lms, sparopoly, pit, drunken stupor, etc. |
GC was active. CTF is what the players wanted.
|
i miss g2k1 now :[

@ Laura
when we get 3-4 people for an LMS but 7-8 people for a ctf right afterwards...which do you think we're going to automatically host first? GCs need to have a variety, but with such a small playercount (usually,) the only event that almost everyone would agree to, and join, is ctf. |
there was tons of events and ctf was the only one hosted, basically that y its died, that and the lack of quest.
|
Gladius is saying those events were hosted but there were very little players who actually attended them, while a lot more attended ctf. That and the dying interest in Classic.
|
Pretty much. Everyone wanted CTF and that's what they got. When they didn't get what they wanted, no one played... did the GC's really have a choice? Not really.

Not like you played any of those events when they were hosted anyways Laura.

Actually she might have, judging from her ticket count.
