Speed Is Essential (About Stefan)
 

For a few weeks now, Ive been telling stefan to restart Enigma in order to allow me to disconnect players.

He told me he has no time.

I find this stupid he has no time to log on type in a few words in the command line and its done.

Ive also been speaking to him about Elven Lands, and he hasn't responded.

I say "would unixmad be better to talk to??"
and he says "No! Dont talk to unixmad!"

So I dont! I ask unixmad why stefan is so slow, and he says "we are a small team, give us time"

The way stefan puts it, they are a team of 1, since he wants the staff to do nothing with unixmad, he wont even let me talk to unixmad about ftp pass changing.

Stefan needs to hire someone to look after playerworlds, with an option that gives them the right to reset pw's, change their password (ftp), cange ftp info (eg: playerworlds.graalonline.com->enigma.graalonline.com)

Im not saying hire a kid, but hire someone dependable, jeeze someone needs to take things under control, this isnt fair to pw owners.

Maybe Stefan does not want to be associated with a person with his finger aching to jail people...

There is probably a method to the madness. Think about it, Dino Valley and Enigma are FREE playerworlds, as are many of the other playerworlds that are experiencing problems. These are generating no profit for GraalOnline, so why help them? I know that is probably a very harsh guess, but it sounds very logical to me from a buisness point of view. Maybe if you went and upgraded, you might get a somewhat speedier service. Having mounds of players is not always the best thing, you know.

Because GraalOnline is a buisness, I don't have a problem with Stefan forcing playerworlds going p2p because he needs the money to keep things running. Stefan is a person too, and just like all people, he needs money to support himself and to support Graal. And as I said before, if you aren't going to help out and support GraalOnline with just a measly $27, $18, or $13 then you are a very sad person. I also understand that some parents are not comfortable, and that is their business, but those of you that can, should.

my mum wouldnt let me use her credit card over the inet cause she didnt think it was safe :(
so i used my friends mums credit card instead :)

Stefan doesnt trust anyone enough to give them that kind of power and he isnt willing to get to know anyone enough to learn if he could trust them or not, maybe he just wants all the power for himself..........

It would be more of a benefit if he found someone in his local area instead of finding someone on a remote connection.

What G-Yoshi said does make a lot of sence tho. Like if 2 servers needed help. 1 you got money from, one you never, which one would u help first? But i think he should hire someone to do the non-p2p servers very quickly

I doubt Graal generates Stefan and unixmad enough of a profit that would allow them to hire an extra person to deal with these things.

Some of the things seem very simple, but they might be more than is expected.

It would be a lot quicker.

Sanstrata was hacked awhile ago, all 2500+ levels and stuff deleted, now many people have the ftp password, yet stefan hasn't even said anything. We've tryed every way possible to contact him that I know of beside me buying a plane ticket and flying over there =/

*sigh* When will people get it through their head that the use of the word, "hack," is being used improperly. These people use something called social engineering which is just a way to trick people into giving out top secret stuff.

1-2 SPECIALY selected staff should be able to manage pw's.

if stefan hired somebody other than a child to do this then he'd have to pay them more than likely, unless its somebody like lycia :rolleyes: , so that would probably never happen : /

Ask Mr Bear to manage the playerworlds :)

Galen was fired? It was my understanding that he quit to go work for some cash monies.

That being partially true, but it is from past obervation that many people come to that conclusion.

It only takes a few bad people to mess it up for those that didn't do anything wrong.

I dont post too much but I do have a couple of observations to make about my position on the playerworlds. The hacking IS caused by people giving out secrets for their own gain. And even worse is when people hurt the ones who help them. Like owners firing good staff to put their friends in. Ive seen that happen. Just about every playerworld I have been on is corrupt in some way. Maybe Stefan is sick and tired of everyone every other day crying help me change the password. my site was hacked.
Owners should be more responsible for their own playerworlds. Give it to only someone who you truly trust and that is it.
I have seen great playerworlds fall because of childish behaviour. and childish behaviour is in everyone if the price is right. childish means immature not an age.

Very well put. I too would get tired of people complaining about things they caused.
