Something hats could be used for besides looks...

Frog would let you swim faster, as fast as a Bomy, but better control, but you move slow on land.

Bomy Shell would make your max hit points rise while wearing

Toadstool would heal you .5 every 10 seconds, or as long as it takes a bed to heal you .5

I can't think of any others, but also some could cause a transformation.
Wearing the Frog could be like wearing a Frog Suit from Mario, that would be how it would look.

Of course, somehow these hats would have to become rarer, and be worth more...
So for this to work, it'd have to be NEW hats that were introduced that could do that, and expensive.

Maybe restocking the shops of these hats, but the hats have those powers, are very little of, and are expensive?
say they each restock with 10, and cost 150g?

There are about 90 hats in all of Graal, it would be very difficult to make attributes for all of them. I think people are happy wearing them and that's that

i like the idea a lot.
Maybe on some hats have powers for example randomly when in stock maybe like 20% of the hats will have the "powers" and on your list when you highlight a hat that has powers it is highlighted in gold. In other words some hats have powers others are normal it would be funner.

Well maybe do something like
Green hat - 13% of hats give a chance of finding a bomb under bushes
Cheese- 5% of hats makes your baked items worth 1 more gralat (cheese falvered)
Halo-6% of hats make you raise your AP a bit faster when it is under 40
Frog-12% of hats make you swim a bit faster but not as fast as bomys
ect

Bucket - Turns you into super janitor man
Plunger - allows you to pull sh*t from the cesspools
Straw - Turns you Mexican XD
Arrow - kills you

or...
bucket - lets you carry 1 more bottle
Plunger - allows you to hit bombs away
Staw - Makes farming a tiny bit shorter
Arrow - makes your arrows a bit faster

owl - makes you fly
panda - you can climb/walk on trees
cool cap - makes you cool
