Question about Free Servers
 

I was bored one day and went to some free servers. The first I went to was Enigma. This server has Ganis and lighting effects both of which I thought were just for p2p servers. Then I went to Aurioa (sp) and they have an NPC Server. Not sure how but they do. Can someone explain this to me?

Stefan likes them I suppose.

Auroria had an RC / program that connected to the
server, and just nick-named it 'NPC-Server',
don't know why people think its really an npcserver
(that way you can have 200 npcservers on classic ;-)

Enigma is using some single-direction ganis,
if they are using light effects that would be illegal,
although they are only enabled for registered
players/upgraded accounts anyway.

Could you tell me why Light Effects will not work on a 32MB GeForce2 GFX Card?

Yes geforce doesn't work correctly with the
standard windows drivers, you will need to download
the latest detonator driver

Okay, would I get that from their site?

OpenGL compatibility would make Sisok and Ghost Pirate and others VERY happy Stefan.... think about this with your next Version ;)

Hm, I can't see my lighting effects, eh no big deal...they are funky looking though (funky in a good way)

I can't see light affects since I installed directX8 when it came out =P, I have voodoo3 3000.

That's the problem, Voodoo 3 + DX8 = Bad. Voodoo3 + DX7 = Good. ;) My Trident Blade3D works fine with DX8 though, just a bit lagged.

Stefan make the lightning effects work on more graphic cards with dx8 =(

Yeah, OpenGL is really fast. I miss seeing all the lovely light effects.

And another note on that. In Delphi it is extremely easy to add support for OpenGL!
