GOD Time and time again Graal stops responding and lockups! Graal finally comes back if I was in a event of any kind i am bumped off, if I am work on fishing or crafting i lose my gem or fish!
Then my Black and White crashes for god nows why

and i want a bomy so bad to pass the time on graal


I'm about to go nutz over the pressure!!!


Stefan fix Graal so Voodoo5 cards can see the light effects and try to fix it so graal doesnt disconnect and lock up all the time


+ how reinstall Dx7 if i have Dx8???

I got d/ced more than 9 times today :(

for me its around every 5 mins

But the server doesn't disconnect you...

The voodoo5 should be able to use
direct3d (?), may be you need to install the
latest driver. It doesn't matter if you
have directx7 or directx8 on your computer,
both support direct3d,
although the driver migth have
problems with directx8 if its a very old
driver.

I have a voodo 5, I have newest version of directx, I also have newest driver. The game doesn't lock up for me, neither does my black and white

When you upgrade your DIrect X so you can see like lights and image form Lamp ,does it lag you? If not i'll upgrade it

It might take longer to load a level with light effects, but you'd have to ask stefan or tyhm to make sure

i got the newest drivers but still black and white crashes, i wanna play it cus that game really rocks!

What is your proccessor speed and ram?

Alhton 1.2 ghz 192 ram

Maybe your windows got corrupted somehow, or a virus.

dunno then...you're in the requirements

i know its confusing the hell out of me my dad goes P2 300 mhz and his runs normal other than the slowness

If you had DirectX 8 make sure you have the latest revision, DirectX 8a. Also be sure to check for viruses, and run scandisk to fix any errors that may be associated with your system files. After that visit http://windowsupdate.com and download the latest updates there, as well as http://www.updates.com/ and the latest updates there as well. If all else fails, do a clean install of windows (obviously make sure you backup anything important first like your black & white savegames :p )

People that buy 3dfx cards need to have their heads examined.

I've noticed peoples with DX8 have a lot of problems running Graal, while DX7 users have minimal problems.

I think M$ screwed up.

I have directx 8, and I have no lag due to seteffect etc. :D

I have Dx8 and no graphics slowdown, but I think there's some resource leak in Graal.

It doesn't hurt me, but it sits unpleasant with me and my precious RAM.

Are you sure you have it enabled?

I have checked it several times over to no avail..Its checked alright...

I have to agree with you Dante on the resource leak. Whenever I start playing graal, I don't usually lag that much. But as I continue playing, for an hour or more, I start lagging even more. Eventually it gets to the point where I can barely move or do anything. I have had ICQ open with graal before, and ICQ started messing up because of low memory.
