I live in Kearny, NJ

Anyway, this is the story of my day.

Keep in mind, I'm about 5 minutes away from the World Trade Center and from where my school is you can see every bit of New York.

9:10 - At school, walking up the stairs to my 2nd period class. A kid is yelling that the Twin Towers are on fire. As I pass through the hallway I peaked into the classes looking out the windows seeing if it was true. All I could see was a huge amazing cloud of smoke surrounding both of the twin towers. I guessed it was true.

9:15 - Make it to my 2nd period class. The teacher walks in crying explaining to us what's going on. He takes us outside of the building over to the plaza where we sat there and looked at the towers.

9:30 - We move over to the library where we watched the news for about a half an hour in shock of what happened.

10:05 - The first tower falls and everyone runs over to the windows. A few people start crying and everyone is in disbelief. About 10-15 minutes later an announcement comes on about what's going to happen. The school is put into
lock down and we couldn't leave the rooms we were in and had to eat inside. Just after the announcement is made a girl yells that the other one is falling, we all run over to the window and once again watch as the 2nd tower falls to the ground.

At this time a lot of people are in tears and we are forced to stay and watch the news, only a few people could leave if their parents picked them up.

One of the airplanes hi-jacked was from Newark Airport, an airport I flew out of less than a month ago. Wow, imagine, all those people. It's awful.

We sat their and watch the news for the rest of the day, we finally got out just 2 hours ago (2:30).

2:30 - I got home from school and my brother and mom were sent home from work. They were both in tears, not because anyone in our family was hurt. My brother was in tears because he has tons of friends who works in the World Trade Center and works only a few buildings away. My mother was crying because she is a very sensitive person and thought about all those people dead. What a terrible day.

I really hope we retaliate against these awful bastards. We need to throw our morals out the door and bomb the hell out of them. That's all I have to say, bye.

Wouldn't that be lowering ourselves to their level? Bombing innocent people.

yeas serously they are happy wtf is taht there messed up, if somthing like this were to happen in france or some other country i would be sad and feel bad for all those that were in it. i think they are behind this.

Palistonians(SP?) supposedly hi-jacked the plains and had bombs aboard, and flew them (4) into the bombed locations because the U.S. aided Israel in the war against some other country or something.

For the most part, the people are indifferent to whatever happens. If it wasn't for the fact that they think America is "evil", they'd be sitting inside their houses contemplating life.

There are probably people over there who are as shocked and disgusted as we are. It wouldn't be fair to kill them for their country's actions.

They are probably happy because America is supplying their enemy (Isreal) with the supplies needed to suppress the Palestinians.

Still, its weird to see them this happy that thousands died...

I'm not going to get mad at you because I feel some sympathy in your situation but you have to keep in mind, EVERYONE wants to be the local hero that took down the mighty United States of America. THey all want responsibility so they can feel proud and their fellow countrymen will make them out to be all heros
