Well like most things in Graal you touch to talk to or touch to do things to or touch to open doors. It would be peachy keen if you had to go up to them and press A. I think that..... um. I think houses and stuff and signs should be done like that. It's annoying to be walking along and accidentally touch a long sign.

press "m" at any time to stop reading a sign

HiryuuX 04-09-2001 08:36 AM

*likes Fai's idea* That would be good.

Then use W!

Well...

If you had your own server you could script it but you'd have to specially make all the signs and doors etc. as NPC's.

I'd like it if you had to press a button to do stuff too- more like all the other rpgs out there, you know?

NPC Code:

if(playerisnearme&&(keydown(0)){
//playerisnearme is where you insert the script to detect if a player is near the NPC
say 0;
}

Something like that

How about "if(playerisnearme(player index,radius)"

That would allow you to set the index of the player whom the door would open to, as well as the radius that the player would have to be standing in for the door to open.

I just made a door that opens when you press A, I am a genius.
