onMouseOver, onMouseDown etc...
<[ Delph Inc. ]>
I've been thinking of this for a while and I think Stefan should implement the onMouseOver, onMouseDown, onMouseMove etc... commands into Graal. For example: if (onmouseover.x<10,20>&&onmouseover.y<10,20>) { changeimgpart 1,x,y,w,h; } That would make it so as soon as your mouse goes over the image with an index of 1, it would change the images x,y,w,h. For those of you who don't know the x and y is the start of a box of a certain part of an image you want to select and the width and height determines how large the box will be. These commands would be good for many things. I first came up with the idea a while ago when I was actually trying to see if he had already done this because Stefan made the right click thing on the players. *NOTE: I was just in my early days of scripting.* This would be good for a few things mentioned already in these forums and things which are already in use. -Moving furinture would be a sinch with this. By just clicking and dragging the item to where you want it. -The railroad tracks on 2k1 where you could just click on the tile you want, which is already displayed on the screen and then place the tile you clicked on to where you want it. I know there would be many problems and bugs with this, but Stefan could probably disable the onMouse commands to not work with others where there could be problems. Galactica (Dolphonia II) Under Construction (Sort of) </[ Delph Inc. ]> *Edit Note* Now I come to think of it, you could probably even create your own levels while actually playing the game. But then you probably wouldn't be able to save the level. You could still upload the text part of a level to a server string or something. Please everybody, just think of all the posibilities and new things it would bring to graal. |

:) I'm quite new to the forum. Galactica (Dolphonia II) Under Construction (Sort of) </[ Delph Inc. ]> |
Stefan already said he is not adding it and I am sad. :(

He wants Graal to be GamePad supportive but Given that EVERYONE has a mouse and a Keyboard and Not the overwhelming majority have a gamepad. I see no reason to exclude it. I Know however it is the fact that sicne Graal is like Link to the Past, Stefan wants to allow those who do have a gamepad to enjoy graal much like an SNES game but it is a seriouse disadvantage. I'd say dont include gamepad and include mouse detection in scripting. This might even be a NewWorld feature and stefan dont wanna add it to Graal. who knows.

You could make make fun mini-games with it to. Like a match-up game or something. You could do it with the current commands, but it would be much easier with the onClick command, etc.
<edit> Of course, this feature would be for New World <edit> |
stefan is trying to ensure NewWorlds superiority, if it was worse than say Murasamune then everyone would laugh at stefan and he'd run home crying and tell unixmad to ban everyone who questioned NewWorlds superiority
BTW: Murasamune will not be better than NewWorld, I was just using that as an example, however I think a PW could be better than NW if it actually tried... |

And ESPECIALLY if they didn't keep using Shadow Dragon NPCs and those getting-annoyingly-stupid putexplosion/putbomb weapons... honestly, can't you people script a single NPC that attacks without putexplosion/putbomb? Sheesh... Aaanyway... Murasamune better than NewWorld... hmm... that could be a possibility as stubborn as SoulBlade is ;) :p :D |
Psst. The secret is to make a crappy p2p PW and then when its up make it the greatest thing ever created. ok? heheheh

This would cause so many problems moving your mouse when reading PM's toall's etc it makes me sad.
