Seed Bug. :(
 
Stefan, there is a bug that deletes your seed bag from your inventory when you pickup a bag of seeds dropped by the seed item, and you don't have any seeds on you already, or don't buy any and alot of people lose the seed NPCs that way. :(

Is this on purpose or an unknown bug?
